How to Draw Cupid

How to Draw Cupid

1) First step, draw two(2) circles.
Let them over lap on one
shape. They should look like a
figure eight.
Remember, don’t draw them in
one motion, use a series of
lines, sketch them out.

2) Next draw a curved line down
the center of both circles. Then
add two(2) curved lines to each
side of the joining circles.

3) Now in the lower circle, add a
small circle for the nose. Then
go a little above it and draw
two(2) more round circles for
the eyes. Don’t forget to sketch
them out. Next for the ears, go
to each side of the head and
make two(2) more circles.

4) Go back to the ears and add
two curved lines. Now over the
eyes add some more curved
lines, one slightly higher than
the other.

Next, add a mouth. Start near
the nose, make a mall curve,
then curve downwards in the
opposite direction and come
up. Now top it off with a curve
on the end.

5) To make the body, add a pear
shape under the head. Next,
round out the bottom with a
circle and arch out the back.

6) To make the legs, thighs. Start
around the lower circle and
make an upside down triangle
shape.

7) To finish the legs and feet.
Make a long oval shape from
the bottom of the thigh where
the knee would be then add a
smaller one on top for the foot.
To Make the toes, place a
series of 4 smaller circles, each
one smaller than the last.

8) To make the arms, draw
two(2) more long oval shapes,
one near the chin and about
half way down the body. And
the other, horizontal and
attached to the one you just
made.

Next, draw a smaller oval to
the end for the hand. Now, add
three(3) waves to form a fist.

9) Now add some hair, roughly
trace out the area where you
want the hair to go. Then retrace
these lines with a curly cloud like
line.

10) Add some simple wings on
each side of the body using some
wavy lines.

Then a bow using curved lines.
You can add a ribbon if you like.

11) Last, retrace the lines you
made, and reshape the character
to your own taste.

Next, erase those unwanted
construction lines.
