PREFACE
A bibliography is the lists of all the sources we used when we researching our assignment
which may include texts that have not referred to directly in our work but have had an influence
on ideas. Bibliography or reference list lists only the sources that we have referred to in our
text. A reference list may be ordered in alphabetical order of authors' names, or numerically,
or depending on the which referencing system that we are using. The main purpose of a
bibliography is to give credit to authors whose work consulted in our research. Therefore, it
makes it easy for a reader to find out more about our topic by delving into the research that
we used to write our paper.
3
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
First of all, we would like to thank everyone who had contributed to the completion of this
assignment especially to all those who have directly and indirectly guided in writing this
assignment in order to complete this assignment. We would also like to express our deepest
gratitude to our lecturer, Sir Mohd Zaihan Bin Hussin for giving us a good guideline for this
assignment throughout numerous consultations. Last but not least, thank you to team
members for hard work and dedication to search and compile all of the information together.
4
INTRODUCTION
Bibliography lists all the sources you used when researching your assignment. In most cases,
a bibliography is a single alphabetically-ordered list of all the sources used, regardless of
format. So, books, journal articles, websites and many others would all be listed together.
Based on Wagner (1996), basic bibliographic information includes title, author or editor,
publisher, and the year the current edition was published or copyrighted. Home librarians often
like to keep track of when and where they acquired a book, the price, and a personal
annotation, which would include their opinions of the book or of the person who gave it to
them.
An entry to a book usually includes the author(s), title, publication’s place, publisher of printer
and date of publication. While, an entry for journal or periodical articles mostly contains
author(s), article or journal title, volumes, pages and date of publication.
Our subject matter in this assignment is Information Technology (IT). IT is the broad subject
concerned with all aspects of managing and processing information, especially within a large
organization or company. IT is generally not used in reference to personal or home computing
and networking. IT generally includes communication, server, networks, application, internet,
support, software, security, database and hardware. These are technically the keywords that
we have been using while carrying out this assignment.
5
OBJECTIVE
The objective of this assignment is to compile the resources and bibliographies related to
Information Technology. This assignment also taught us about how to search the resources
and show us the new resources in any types of bibliographies. This compiling bibliography
lists all the sources that we found and use in Information Technology topic. Through this
research also we get to know how to use an application or online website that can be use to
search the sources needed. It also will give us new experience in library’s field in order to
searching the sources, the call number, and more information about the sources.
SCOPE
The scope for this compiling bibliography assignment are topics related to Information
Technology from Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC). We compiled the sources from any
types of resources that can access in our country and globally for our topic. We search for
Information Technology and sources related to it and compile it. We will go through library’s
collection through OPAC application. This compiling covered many types of sources like
Almanac, Brochure, Dictionary and many more. The format of citation that will be use in our
compiling bibliography assignments is APA style.
6
INTRODUCTION TO FORMAT OF CITATION
There are several different styles of citations and bibliographies that we might encounter
such as MLA, APA, Chicago, Harvard, and more There are two general format of citation that
we have been given options to choose from. They are APA and MLA. They both include similar
information, but arranged and formatted differently. In this assignment, we have used APA
style.
1) APA
American Psychological Association (APA) style can both be used in in-text and in
reference list citations.
In-text: The APA in-text citation for a book includes the author’s last name, the year,
and (if relevant) a page number.
Example: (Anderson, 1983, p. 23), without page number, (Anderson,1983)
Reference list: In the reference list, start with the author’s last name and initials,
followed by the year. The book title is written in sentence case (only capitalize the first
word and any proper nouns). Include other contributors (e.g. editors and translators)
and the edition if specified.
Format: Last name, Initials. (Year). Book title. (Contributor initials, last name, role.)
(Edition). City, State/Country: Publisher.
Example: Anderson, B. (1983). Imagined communities: Reflections on the origins and
spread of nationalism. London, UK: Verso.
7
2) MLA
Modern Language Association (MLA) style is most commonly used to cite sources
within the language arts, cultural studies, and other humanities disciplines.
In-text: MLA format follows the author-page method of in-text citation. This means that
the author's last name and the page number(s) from which the quotation or paraphrase
is taken must appear in the text, and a complete reference should appear on your
Works Cited page. The author's name may appear either in the sentence itself or in
parentheses following the quotation or paraphrase, but the page number(s) should
always appear in the parentheses, not in the text of your sentence.
Example: Wordsworth stated that Romantic poetry was marked by a "spontaneous
overflow of powerful feelings" (263).
Romantic poetry is characterized by the "spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings"
(Wordsworth 263).
Wordsworth extensively explored the role of emotion in the creative process (263).
Reference list: The most basic entry for a book consists of the author’s name, the
book title, publisher city, publisher name, year of publication, and medium.
Format: Last Name, First Name. Book Title. Publisher City: Publisher Name, Year
Published. Medium.
Example: Smith, John. The Sample Book. Pittsburgh: BibMe, 2008. Print.
8
ARRANGEMENT
According to Fleming (2018) Bibliography entries will include:
Authors and/or editors (and translator, if relevant)
Title of the source (as well as edition, volume, and the book title if the source is a
chapter or article in a multi-author book with an editor)
Publication information (the city, state, name of the publisher, date published,
page numbers consulted, and URL or DOI, if relevant)
Access date, in the case of online sources (check with the style guide at the
beginning of the research as to whether need to track this information)
The entries should be listed by the first author's last name, in alphabetical order. If two
publications are written by the same author, then the order and format depend on the style
guide. For this assignment, we are using APA format.
In APA style, list the duplicate-author entries in chronological order of publication, placing the
earliest first. The name of the author is used for all entries. For works with more than one
author, styles vary as to whether invert the name of any authors after the first. Whether use
title casing or sentence-style casing on titles of sources, and whether separate elements with
commas or periods also varies among different style guides. Bibliography entries are usually
formatted using a hanging indent. This means that the first line of each citation is not indented,
but subsequent lines of each citation are indented.
Regardless of the format used, every bibliography citation must have a minimum amount of
identifying information. The source matters when it comes to formatting the entry - book titles
are italicized; article titles are in quotation marks - and it also determines what information is
needed (for example: a book's publisher vs. a web page's URL).
9
LANGUAGE OF MATERIAL
Although some of our resources were gained from another country, we still decided to use
Malay and English as our medium in explaining the sources for this assignment. It is an
appreciation for us if these bibliographies will able to help and can be use by researches,
teachers and also by students to find idea or material for a particular purpose.
LEVEL OF BIBLIOGRAPHIES
This bibliography is a reference and discovers the various types of resources that related to
the topic in this assignment, information technology. By providing useful resources and
potential materials, it can be implemented in searching to find more details about the topic.
Target audiences to use this bibliography are students or beginner, educator, researchers,
journalist and librarians.
LIMITATION AND PROBLEM
In order to complete this assignment, we had faced some limitation and problems. Our biggest
limitation and problem is the limited online sources. This situation makes us to widen our
search method to other platforms. So, to overcome the problem, we used Open Educational
Resources in PTAR website. Besides that, we also explore the other search platform to find
the resources needed for this assignment.

ABSTRACT MACHINES FOR DYNAMIC COMPUTATION
SUMMARY:
In this thesis Walton address the challenges associated with the provision of dynamic
software architectures. These are systems in which programs are constructed from
separately compiled units with a facility for the replacement of these units at runtime. Typical
examples of applications which will benefit from this dynamic approach are long-lived
systems in which downtime is highly undesirable, for example, web servers, database
engines, and equipment controllers. In addition, dynamic software architectures are also
gaining popularity with the recent advent of wide-area Internet applications, where it is often
impractical to compile a program in its entirety or begin execution in a single step.

INDEX AND QUERY METHODS IN ROAD NETWORKS
SUMMARY:
This book presents the index and query techniques on road network and moving objects
which are limited to road network. Here, the road network of non-Euclidean space has its
unique characteristics such that two moving objects may be very close in a straight-line
distance. The index used in two-dimensional Euclidean space is not always appropriate for
moving objects on road network. Therefore, the index structure needs to be improved in
order to obtain suitable indexing methods, explore the shortest path and acquire nearest
neighbour query and aggregation query methods under the new index structures.
