Service Organization in Atlanta
One of the big service organizations in Atlanta is Atlanta Children’s Shelter, which is a
shelter for those kids that are without homes and sometimes parents. This facility takes care of
children and also some families. They make sure the kids are loved and educated. They help
parents that have fallen off their feet. They help the parents take care of their children in areas
they can’t. This facility has many resources that can help out those in need. Many children live
in this shelter, and all of them are well taken care of and given equal opportunity for education.
The children shelter has many good reviews on their organization on how people are so
amazed on how good they work with kids and parents, and how much they help the parents
and give so much care to the kids. This organization is a non-profit organization which means
they take no money from anybody to build their organization up and make it better. This
organization is a good one to me because by myself I enjoy helping people and making sure
everyone is straight, I could really see myself working at this shelter and helping anyone that
needs help.
The Atlanta Children’s shelter has been open since 1996, and ever since then they have
been helping multiple people (mostly children) and making sure they are well taken care of.
People that take time out of their day to make sure people (especially children) that they do not
know or not even related to, they help these type of people and to me that is love, because
they are doing this out of their heart. The people that participate and work in this shelter are
good people because they do these wonderful works with kids and adults. These people really
touch my heart, and I am happy they started this shelter when they did because it’s a lot more
kids and parents out that don’t have a home to go too and some parents don’t want their kids
living like that, so they take them to the shelter and that is a wonderful thing because these
people are good people.

My weakness would have to be public speaking. I do not like the fact that people are looking at me and
judging me with their eyes, I am very confident in myself I just dislike reading in front in a class or crowd.
I am willing to take this little by little steps to overcome this weakness of mines so I won’t be so shy. I
can read for children afterschool or at home to all my family and grow more in confusing on what I’m
saying and not what they’re saying or thinking. Then I can participate more in class when they as for
volunteer readers, soon before you know it I won’t be scared to get picked on or go next.
