Where life is really hard in United Arab Emirates A city defined by its opulent skyscrapers and luxurious hotels, Dubai is considered the business and financial capital of the UAE. With several multinational companies operating in the city due to favorable tax laws, it has become a perfect center of international trade and tourism. If you’re not closing deals during the day, then you’re enjoying the vibrant nightlife the city has to offer. Where life is easy to live in United Arab Emirates. As an employee working in Dubai , i believe the regular life is pretty much difficult as you start your day really early in the morning , because to reach office through metro takes full 1 hour depending where are you living and working , if your job is 9 hours then you can hardly do anything on regular days . After coming home if you’re a single person living, you will have to cook for yourself, for dinner as well as for lunch for the other day along with your own laundry , grocery shopping and all the small thing . Moreover , only Friday is the off day and that is spend in cleaning and resting . So , i think its tough as i have experienced it all. 1

The interesting storytelling of United Arab Emirates. Hazzaya, kharroufa Alia Al-Hilaliya grew up in a Bedouin environment. She was a very beautiful girl who liked poetry and chivalry. She had a brother named "Salem" who was known for his courage, chivalry and intelligence, as well as for his selfishness and narcissism. Alia married a man from her neighbourhood and prayed to have a son who possessed the characteristics of her brother Salem. Allah answered her prayer, and she bore three sons and three daughters. The children grew up, and in one of Salem’s travels and adventures, he asked his sister for permission to accompany one of her sons on a trip. She reluctantly sent her eldest son with him, whose intelligence was tested by Salem and was deemed to be substandard, as was the case when she sent her second son with him. He urged his sister to send her youngest son with him, who demonstrated rare courage and intelligence during their trip, thus triggering Salem's selfishness and pushing him to the idea of wanting to get rid of his nephew so that he would not pose a threat to him in the future. 2

The eldest girl and middle daughters believed what he said, but the youngest daughter did not fall for it and shouted, “By God, my uncle, if Aziz was alive, I would have received the good news through the flying birds, but Aziz is actually dead.” Aziz had written verses of poetry on the ‘saddle of the camel’ that were often repeated by the people of the neighbourhood: طاحت دلو الهاللي يوم اليذايبا عقد لها المزروبي وما عّول بالربا بّطه حنيش صايب غ ّرز نوايبا يوم أردفه جدامه دمعت سكايبا طاحت عصاتي وخّرت بين الروايبا عقروا علي القودا سبوقن في المدى وسيفي سوى صقايل مسنون ماحال دفنوني في ديرٍة قفرية فيها البوم يحدي Indeed, he made him go down an abandoned well filled with snakes that bit him and he eventually died of their venom. Salem returned home after burying his nephew and advised a navigator who was passing by to go to Alia’s home and to say to her, “I have news about these two, one is missing. No one remains but the ‘gray-haired man’.” When the navigator informed Alia about this, she was shocked by the severity of her grief and pain, so she lost her composure, broke the navigator’s leg and threw her servant from the roof of the house, thus killing him. When Salem arrived, he told the eldest daughter that her brother Aziz was in Basra market, working in trade. 3

The famous criminal happening in United Arab Emirates. Nigerian Ramon Abbas, known as Hushpuppi, is a social media celebrity with millions of followers. The erstwhile influencer often posted photographs while posing in front of luxury cars or while boarding private jets, until 2020, when he was extradited to the US after being arrested during a raid in Dubai in June. Mr Abbas allegedly conspired to launder hundreds of millions of dollars from "business email compromise" frauds and other scams.. He and a partner were also accused of plotting to steal £100 million ($140 million) from an unnamed football club in the English Premier League. US officials reported in February 2021 that Mr Abbas allegedly helped North Korean hackers launder money stolen from a Maltese bank. Mr Abbas is in US custody awaiting trial 4

1x1 Art Gallery One of the many galleries that make up the Alserkal community in the industrial area of Al Quoz, 1×1 Art Gallery has been around since 1996, and originally housed Indian contemporary art. Now it has grown into a huge warehouse space, and founder Malini Gulrajani has put much of the focus on Emirati and Middle Eastern talent. The works get an even bigger platform with the gallery’s participation in international fairs, museums and galleries, as well as collaborations with independent curators. Drawing inspiration from the UAE's geography and history, the Louvre Abu Dhabi is an architectural masterpiece. Designed as a micro-city, it consists of 55 detached rooms that visitors can wander in and out of as they would an Arab medina. Waterways reminiscent of Abu Dhabi's historic falaj irrigation system run through the museum, inspiring calm and reflection. Above, a massive, latticed dome casts a "rain of light" in the same way that palm fronds scatter sunlight throughout an oasis. The Abu Dhabi History Museum appeals to families with its rather hands-on exhibitions about the city’s background. It’s part of the 500,000-square-metre Khalifa Park, one of Abu Dhabi’s largest recreational sites. Instead of exploring the museum on foot, you ride a pod-like car that takes you past several dioramas detailing the development of Abu Dhabi. You can see scenes of traditional desert life, oil mining, and modern city landscapes. Throughout the 20-minute ride, you can listen to audio commentary in either English or Arabic. In the UAE, the traditional wedding celebration lasts for 7 days, which starts with the marriage proposal ceremony called Al Khoutha. In this ceremony, the groom’s father asks for the bride’s hand from her father, which is later followed by a marriage contract agreement called Al Akhd. Once the wedding date is fixed, the bride rests at home for 40 days prior to the wedding. During this entire time-frame, she is pampered by her family members with healthy food. Her entire body is smeared with traditional oils and perfumes from head to toe and her hair is cleansed with flower extracts to nourish them. All these activities are performed to help the bride look beautiful and graceful on her wedding day. The groom presents the bride with perfumes, jewelry, silk materials, and other important items before the wedding, from which she creates her extravagant wedding dress, which is called Addahbia. The traditional Emirati wedding. A bridal shower also called Henna night is organized 2-3 days before the actual wedding day where all the bride’s female friends and relatives are invited to enjoy a night of music, dance, and lip-smacking food. All the invited guests in the room bless the bride with gifts like jewelry, expensive dresses, and money. Perfumes in UAE are considered as a great gift for the newlyweds. The women dance and celebrate with the bride, the henna artist decorates the hands and feet of the bride with beautiful designs. Flowers play an important role in the UAE wedding as they enhance the beauty of every custom and tradition. Be it decor or gifting, fresh flowers boast happy vibes and add liveliness to the event with vibrant colours and aromas. In UAE weddings, the use of flowers stands of utmost importance during various ceremonies, starting from the bridal shower to the D-day. 7

The men’s party also have their separate dancing and enjoyment sessions. They wear a traditional simple white dress called kandoura. According to the traditional dance form, men stand in a line holding a thin gold cane in one hand. Also, sometimes the men at the front and end of the line carry a small rifle and then they all dance to Emirati music tunes. As they say, you can never leave an Emirati wedding feeling hungry. Apart from dancing and celebrations, mouthwatering cuisines are served at weddings in the UAE. You can also relish wedding cakes at Emirati weddings and they are to die for! The guests on arrival are served with coffee and dates followed by other desserts and delicious dishes. The grandeur of Emirati weddings can differ based on the financial status of the family. But it is a celebration that you must experience once in a lifetime that will stay in your memories forever. On the actual wedding day, the religious ceremony of nikah takes place in the presence of family. During this ceremony, a religious figure called Maulvi or Qazi officially marries the couple. After the ceremony, the celebrations start with a great feast. In Emirati weddings, there are separate ceremonies for men and women. The reason is so that the Muslim women who wear hijab can celebrate without worrying about being seen by unknown men at the party. Emirati weddings are the best occasions for women to show off their exclusive dresses and jewelry. The bride’s reception is all about dancing, lavish decorations, and enjoyment. 8

In Islamic culture, the marriage officially begins when the contract is signed by the bride and groom in the presence of two male witnesses. It is at this point that the couple usually exchange rings at a small ceremony, called a milcha. The contract is often signed either at the house of the bride’s father or at a local court. A dowry, where the husband agrees to give an agreed sum to his new wife, is usually part of the contract. Rayana Hamadeh, who has been to more than 50 Emirati weddings, told The National in 2019 that a dowry might be about Dh5,000 ($1,361). By law, it cannot be more than Dh20,000 and it could be as low as Dh1. Today, many Emirati couples tend to be in their mid to late twenties when they get married. The bride and groom each receives a copy of the contract. As the bride prepares for her wedding day, the groom and his family are expected to present her with elaborate gifts or a single sum of money known as Al Zahba. The gifts usually include silk, jewellery and expensive perfume. The modern Emirati wedding. 9

“Al Zahba can cost more than Dh80,000, but in some families it could reach up to Dh2 million and more,” Ms Hamadeh said. The sum varies according to the groom’s financial circumstances. “Before the marriage, the bride displays all the purchases from Al Zahba,” Ms Hamadeh said. “This is called miksar.” The gifts are usually shown off at the home of the father of the bride during the wedding contract ceremony. As in many other countries, the bride’s dress is the most important statement in every Arab wedding. In some marriages, the bride will spend more on the dress than on the ceremony as a whole. Although the common western style of a long, white gown also applies to Middle East weddings, the bride’s dress is even more of a focus in the UAE. “The gown [in the UAE] is usually full of bling and shine, and is massive in length and size. The bride must be the best dressed in this celebration,” Ms Hamadeh said. The groom, who in Emirati tradition may have a completely separate wedding celebration away from the women, is usually dressed in a white kandoora that is covered with a traditional black cloak known as a bisht. The bisht often has gold trimmings. He is allowed to join his bride’s celebration only for a short while, with a change of music signalling to the women to cover their hair and shoulders with their shaylas prior to his entrance. 10

Some women may also choose to cover their dresses with abayas. Few Emirati weddings would be complete without a henna party for the bride and her female friends. The reddish-brown dye used to decorate the hands and feet is usually considered a must before the big day. But some brides choose to paint their henna themselves, without the help of friends or family members. “Generally, every henna [party] we [have] planned is very different. Emiratis come to us because we love playing with colours and we infuse a lot of Indian vibrancy into the Middle Eastern atmosphere.” Typically, no photography is allowed at the women's celebration, although close friends do often take pictures on the understanding they are not shared publicly. The extravagance or otherwise of a local ceremony differs enormously from one family to another. A lot of the expense goes on catering. Traditional Emirati food is usually served and includes coffee, dates and a variety of other delicious sweets. Other dishes served are likely to be biryani, a dish of highly seasoned rice with meat, fish or vegetables, and salona, a traditional stew in Gulf countries. 11
