Introduction
Water dispenser is a device that provides easy access to drinking
water. Water dispenser wae invented by Halsey Willard Taylor and
Luther Haws. It is designed in such a way that consumers can get
both cold and hot water which is free from pollutant or impurity that
is usually present in contaminated water. There is a wide range of
water dispensers such as hot, cold water dispenser, floor mounted,
bottom loaded and tabletop. For diy water dispenser, it has the same
concept with the machine water dispenser which provides easy
access to drinking water. But for diy water dispenser does not need
any electricity when we want to use it. Also, we only need cardboard, a
water bottle, a straw, glue and scissors to build it. Thus, it is suitable to
be used as an activity for children at home because the procedure is
effortless.
What Is Polymer ?
● A polymer is a large molecule, or macromolecule,
composed of many repeated subunits.
● Polymers are materials made of long, repeating chains of
molecules. The materials have unique properties,
depending on the type of molecules being bonded and
how they are bonded.
● Polymers are used in almost every area of modern living
such as plastic bottles.

Steps We'll start with a process of cutting a
shoe box or cardboard into pieces, as
01 follows:
02 - 2 pieces 9x9 cm - 2 pieces 20x8 cm
- 1 pieces 20x9 cm - 1 pieces 8x8 cm
- 1 pieces 11x9cm
(The measurements may be changed to fit the
bottle size.)
Put 1 piece 9x9cm, 2 pieces 20x8cm,
and 1 piece 20x9cm in the position
shown in the photo.
Make a small hole in the middle of an
03 8x8cm piece as shown in the diagram,
then, as shown, place the piece in the
middle.
04 Make a tiny hole at the bottom of
the bottle, as shown.
05 To acquire the right length, trim
the end of the straw.
06 Then insert the straw in the bottle's
hole. Glue it properly (make sure there
is no leakage) using hot glue gun
07 Hold end of the straw and fill the bottle.
Then securely shut the bottle and remove
the hold.
08 When the bottle cap is turned or loosened
the water will flow out and when the bottle
is tightly closed the water will stop flowing.
To make the picture seem neater, put
9x9cm and 11x9cm pieces as shown.

make it more beautiful.

How DIY Water Dispenser Works?
● Diy water dispenser machine is a useful device for supplying
drinking water whenever we need that we can easily make at
home.
● The main concept of the water dispenser is gravity and vacuum
pressure.
● In this mechanism, the water is placed in the bottle where there
is a small hole that can fits the straw as a way to water flows out.
● It is designed like this, so that gravity and vacuum pressure will
fill the bottle with water and then get released to the cup or
glass when you open the lid of bottle.
● Its mean that when you open the lid of bottle, the air from
outside will enter the bottle and give pressure to water as it will
flows out through the straw.
● When we close the lid of bottle, there is no pressure on water as
no air can enter the bottle and the water will stop to flow.

- It will be very useful for us as a student to supply
drinking water in our room as it can be taken
everywhere.
★ It can save our money.
- The materials required to make diy water dispenser
can easily gets using home made materials.
★ There will be no wastage of water as it do not leaks or
flows when lid is closed.
- We can control the lid of bottle whenever we open the
lid so that the water will flows out slowly.

Conclusion
In conclusion, water dispensers have helped human beings by
providing us with clean purified water by eliminating impurities
and dust particles from contaminated water. For diy water
dispenser will makes you drink more water, in addition to its
small size which saves space to be placed on the table. Just
imagine how proud would you be of your creation and that drive
itself would motivate you to fill your glass now and then. Thus, it
is typically an environmentally friendly option, as personal
bottled water leaves a lot of plastic waste.
