Ofsted says The Carlton Junior
Academy is ‘unquestionably a good
school'.

Our ‘take care’ values, encompassed
through 'we grow greatness', complement
the Redhill core purpose, securing
excellent outcomes for our children
through high expectations and
outstanding teaching and learning. We
also pride ourselves on widening
experiences through a diverse range of
clubs and educational visits.

Our school was built on the site of an old
orchard, which is why we chose a tree, as
our emblem.

In 2021 the school was designated by the
DfE as the lead school attached to Redhill
Teaching Hub, one of 87 new regional
centres of excellence for teacher training
and professional development in
education.

The Carlton Infant Academy is a
happy, inclusive, and aspirational
infant school and nursery. Ofsted
agrees that ‘all pupils make good
progress’ and parents/carers are
rightly proud to send their children
to the school.

Our school follows the core principles of
‘resourcefulness, resilience, reflectiveness
and reciprocity’. These underpin excellent
teaching; supporting and encouraging our
children to take responsibility for their
learning and behaviour. Our principles
reflect and support the Redhill core
purpose of academic achievement and
equality for all.

The Carlton Infant Academy was built on
the site of an old well, providing the
inspiration for our school emblem.

At Robert Mellors Primary
Academy we were delighted to join
the Redhill Trust to strengthen our
existing links with The Redhill
Academy and forge new
partnerships with other schools in
the Trust.

The school has a warm, welcoming and
happy atmosphere where positive
relationships enable children and staff to
thrive and flourish. Our ethos and culture
are built around 'Make a Difference'
values; Respect, Responsibility, Focus,
Teamwork, Resilience and Compassion.

Pastoral support for children and parents
is a further strength, and excellent EYFS
provision in our nursery gives children
firm foundations allowing them to attend
the school setting from the age of 2.

Tupton Primary and Nursery Academy
was the first Derbyshire primary school to
join Redhill Academy Trust.

Offering education from nursery to Year 6,
we take great pride in our school being a
warm and welcoming place where
children are supported to achieve their
very best in everything they do.

Our core values are demonstrated
through PRIDE: Partnership, Respect,
Independence, Determination, Enjoyment.
These, alongside striving for excellence,
underpin everything that we do at Tupton.

We offer a wide range of pastoral support
for children and their families and believe
that emotional wellbeing is as important
as academic success.

The original school building was built in
1875 and we still use these classrooms
today along with more modern additions
such as the nursery.

At North Wingfield Primary &
Nursery Academy our mission is
that every child achieves their full
potential and no-one gets left
behind.

When we chose to academise, we joined a
Trust that would allow us to maintain our
own identity. We create a friendly, caring
and supportive environment that instils a
deep love of learning and encourages the
development of the whole child.

The expertise and experience provided by
our staff extends opportunities for
children both in the classroom and via
extra-curricular clubs, educational visits
and activities.

Our emblem, the swift, was chosen by our
children, inspired by nesting birds on the
school site.

We became an associate
member to experience Trust life.
Among many positive
experiences, one of the biggest
benefits has been collaborative
working. Associate membership
enabled us to make an informed

governors now really excited

Our Principles

We value teamwork,
honesty, transparency
and diligence to
achieve our core
purpose of raising
‘Equality and
Achievement’.

Our Ethos

Our academies share common approaches to delivering education,
ensuring that all children in our care receive the same high quality,
well-rounded educational experience. We call this 'The Redhill Way'.

Supporting each individual

We provide outstanding teaching, aid achievement, encourage tenacity, celebrate
diversity, and fiercely promote and defend equality, affording children the support they
need to realise their full potential.

Leadership and character building

We aim to help build resilience and character that will last a lifetime.
We value our students' voices, helping us shape and improve the student experience in
our academies.

Developing teachers and leaders

Outstanding teaching is the cornerstone of every school's success. Knowing this, we
consciously invest in teacher training and professional development.

Curriculum

We aim for all children to have high levels of involvement in a curriculum that provides
them with the skills, knowledge, attitudes and resilience to reach their full potential.

Collaboration

We value collaboration within the Trust at every level. Staff working together, sharing
good practice and challenging each other enables us to get the best from our team for
the benefit of our children.
