CHAPTER 15
PAST FUTURE CONTINOUS TENSE

A. Definisi

Past Future Continuous tense merupakan salah satu bentuk kata kerja untuk
menyatkan situasi ataupun aksi imaginer yang sedang berlangsung, apabila kondisi
tidak langsungnya terpenuhi. Artinya, past future continuous tense ini menekankan
pada serangkaian atau durasi suatu aksi yang terjadi, dan juga bisa digunakan untuk
kalimat tidak langsung.

B. Basic Pattern

Rumus yang digunakan untuk membentuk past future continuous tense adalah
sebagai berikut :

S + Would + Be + Verb 1 + ing + Complement

Subject Would Be Verb 1 + ing Complement
She Would
Be Working at 9 am
They Would
yesterday.

Be Celebrating graduation

yesterday.

Bentuk Past Future Continuous Tense digunakan untuk menyatakan peristiwa yang
sedang akan dilakukan, tetapi di masa lampau, bukan saat ini maupun yang akan
datang.

Contoh :

When her parents came yesterday, she would be working at 9 am, so she could
pick them up. (Ketika orangctuanya datang kemarin, dia akan sedang bekerja pada
pukul 9 pagi, maka dia dapat menjemput mereka).

CHAPTER 16
FUTURE PERFECT TENSE

Menurut fungsinya, future perfect tense ini dapat digunakan untuk mengungkapkan
bahwa suatu aktivitas sudah akan selesai pada suatu titik waktu di masa yang akan
datang. Intinya, future perfect tense ini menekankan pada aksi yang akan berakhir
pada waktu tertentu di masa depan. Rumus yang digunakan untuk membentuk
future perfect tense adalah sebagai berikut :

S + Will + Have + Verb 3 (Past Participle)
Contoh dari penggunaan future perfect tense adalah :

1. He will have left work at 5 p.m

2. I will have finished the homework by the time my father gets home

3. You will have done the same work for 4 years

The future perfect tense is quite an easy tense to understand and use. The
future perfect tense talks about the past in the future.

How do we make the Future Perfect Tense? The structure of the future perfect tense
is:

Future perfect tense biasanya di gunakan untuk mengungkapkan bahwa suatu
aktifitas akan sudah selesai pada suatu titik waktu di masa depan.

PAST FUTURE PERFECT CONTINOUS TENSE
Penggunaan : untuk menunjukan suatu peristiwa yang seharusnya akan sudah
dilakukan atau terjadi dan masih dilakukan atau terjadi pada masa lampau.
Time signal : by + indifinitive time… for + time duration.
Formula/rumus :

kata kerja yang tidak beraturan (irregular verbs) yang sering digunakan dalam
kalimat dan percakapan sehari-hari. Format tujuh belas kunci ini akan memudahkan
pelajar dalam mempelajari tenses serta passive voice.
