EDGE MOUNTAINEERS 2015-16 SEASON
FEMALE HOCKEY PLAYER EVALUATIONS
May 8th - 10th, 2015.
These sessions are open to 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002 age groups. It will be an
assessment of players for possible placement on our Girls’ Prep or Girls’ Varsity teams.
Registration Requirements Current Edge Students:
2015-16 re-enrollment submitted on-line along with all required payments
Attached registration form and waiver completed
Registration Requirements New students or interested students
Completed school application package including deposit and assessment fees
Current report card and final report card from last year
Academic testing completed prior to or at the start of evaluation weekend

Academic Testing Session (New Students) - Friday May 8th 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Player Evaluations – Friday, May 8th – Sunday, May 10th

RELEASE AND WAIVER
I, for myself, my heirs, executors, personal representatives, administrators and assigns release the
Edge School, their respective servants, agents and/or employees from all claims, demands, damages,
actions or causes of actions arising out of or in consequence of any loss, injury or damage to
___________________________’s person or property incurred while attending and/or participating
in the Conditioning Camp Activities, notwithstanding any such loss, injury or damage may have
arisen by reason of negligence of the Edge School, their servants, agents and/or employees.
INDEMNIFICATION
For valuable consideration provided by Edge School in accepting the within application, the receipt
and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, I agree to indemnify and hold harmless, Edge
School, its servants, agents, and/or employees from any claims or demands of any nature or kind
whatsoever, which might be made against the Edge School arising out of/or in consequence of the

* - For the purposes of this document, the term “Edge School” shall mean “Edge School for Athletes Society”, a body
corporate established pursuant to the provisions of the School Act, S.A. 1988 c. S-21, as amended.
Assigning the Players to the Various Teams
The coaching staff will utilize its collective expertise to assign student-athletes to the
team that they feel most benefits the respective student-athletes’ development. These
decisions will remain that of Edge School and are non-negotiable.
All offers to existing players will take place on the Tuesday and Wednesday after
respective tryouts. Discussions will also take place with players not offered a spot, within
the same timeframe.
Player offers will be made with two staff members as part of all discussions.
All players will receive his or her offer sheet and will be given 24 hours (from the
time they receive their offer) to accept.
Acceptance will be signified by providing a signed contract to Anne McCaffrey
(Director of Admissions). This includes signing the Hockey Commitment Agreement and
the Team Fees Document, along with a deposit and the balance of the Hockey Fees in post-
dated cheques, provided at the same time.
Players who do not accept his or her offer within the 24 hour timeframe will have
their spot offered to another player.
External players will not be offered a spot until such time that Edge Staff have
confirmed that the respective student-athlete has met all academic and non-academic criteria.
Roster sizes for each team will be up to a maximum of 21 players with the exception
of both the Male and Female Midget Prep Teams, which may carry a roster of up to a
maximum of 22 players.
Rosters for games are 19 players for all teams except Male Midget Prep, which is 20.
There will be a base minimum of games that all players are guaranteed to dress for (barring
injuries, suspensions, class behaviour, academic standing, etc.) This will be discussed with
players when offers are made.
