Latino Heritage Parade and Festival sat., Sept. 16, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. - parade route Join local schools, community groups, elected officials, dignitaries, neighbors and friends at the 25th Annual Latino Heritage Parade and Festival. The parade begins at Los Robles Avenue and Buckeye Street and ends in front of Pasadena City Hall, 100 N. The Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) Department welcomes children back to our After School Adventures program offered at various schools in partnership with Pasadena Unified School District. We also offer after school programming at our Teen Center for youth 12 – to 18 with a focus on personal enrichment and academic success. We are proud to support our families through these and other programs. An added program this year is our year-round aquatics program at Robinson Park. The newly constructed pool will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and will offer year-round aquatics programming beginning in September 2023. Programming includes vital swim lessons for all ages (toddlers through adults), water aerobics and parent and me classes, as well as recreational and lap swimming. The Recreation Guide represents both a great deal of collaborative efforts department-wide and a wonderful variety of high-quality programming for all ages, interests, and abilities. Take a look at our amazing teen programs and activities. Registration for fall youth sports and general registration for classes begins on August 14 for Pasadena residents and PUSD students. The curriculum focuses on socialemotional learning (SEL) and uses music-based activities to explain concepts in a way that is engaging, fun and easy to understand. It's the perfect program for the Tiny Tot age group.
