see. The county seat is the city of Dyersburg. The county was named after Robert
Henry Dyer who was an army officer in the Creek War, War of 1812, and a cavalry
colonel in the First Seminole War of 1818, before later becoming a state senator.
Dyer County also comprises the Dyersburg, TN Micropolitan Statistical Area.
The Dyersburg Area is full of a variety of fun and things to see and do. Full of
agricultural acitivies and history there is much to learn about the area. Come take a
