Adah members strongly resolve around the core
of our existence - Sisterhood. This deep and

abiding bond based on love and respect for one
another has sustained the chapter, allowing her
to withstand the test of time. Through our ups
and downs we STILL STAND. Bound by God,
sisterhood, knowledge and the pursuit to leave

the world better than the way we found it, the
members of Adah Chapter #637, continue to set
standards and adorn the state of Illinois and the

Supreme Grand Lodge of Modern Free and
Accepted Masons of the World, Inc.

In the great year of 1986,

Progressive Grand Lodge and Elizabeth Grand Chapter

of Illinois, MF&AM state folded and was later revived as
King Solomon Grand Lodge

and Bathsheba Grand Chapter.

Under the new Grand Administration, Adah Chapter #637
was founded October 8, 1987 by Sister Barbara Williams

and began her journey as the first Worthy Matron and
Brother Joe Sneed, Worthy Patron.

Adah Chapter #637 received its Warranted Charter
the 18th day of March 1989.

Since its inception, the combined efforts of our
membership have cultivated
four Grand Worthy Matrons from
it’s ranks serving consecutive
years since 1995.

Brother Dewayne Richardson

Romans 10:1-4

Brethren, my heart's desire and
prayer to God for Israel is, that

they might be saved.
For I bear them record that they

have a zeal of God, but not
according to knowledge.
For they being ignorant of God's
righteousness, and going about to
establish their own righteousness,
have not submitted themselves
unto the righteousness of God.
For Christ is the end of the law
for righteousness to every one

that believeth.

Sister Violet Wright Henderson

Romans 12:1-2

I beseech you therefore,
brethren, by the mercies
of God, that ye present

your bodies a living
sacrifice, holy,

acceptable unto God,
which is your reasonable

service.

And be not conformed to
this world: but be ye
transformed by the

renewing of your mind,
that ye may prove what

is that good, and
acceptable, and perfect,

will of God.

Brother Carlos Quin

2 Corinthians 12:10
Therefore I take pleasure

in infirmities,
in reproaches,
in necessities,
in persecutions,
in distresses
for Christ's sake:
for when I am weak,
then am I strong.

Sister LaTrina Porter

Luke 1:37

For with God
nothing

shall be impossible.

Matthew 19:26

said unto them, With men this
is impossible; but with God all

things are possible.

Rev. Sister Anese Collier

Ezra 10:4
Arise; for
this matter
belongeth
unto thee:
we also will
be with thee:
be of good
courage,
and do it.

Brother Edward scales

Serenity Prayer

“God grant me
the serenity to

accept the
things I
cannot change,
courage
to change the
things I can,
and wisdom to
know the
difference.”

Brother Brian Reese

33rd Psalms

Rejoice in the LORD,
O ye righteous:

for praise is comely
for the upright…

Let thy mercy,
O Lord,

be upon us,
according as we hope

in thee.

Psalm 30:5

For his anger
endureth but a

moment;
in his favour is
life: weeping may
endure for a night,
but joy cometh in
the morning.

In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths.

Proverbs 3:6

Sister Serena Ivery

Sister Jennifer Ginn

Romans 8:35-39

Who shall separate us from the love
of Christ? shall tribulation, or

distress, or persecution, or famine,
or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
As it is written, For thy sake we are

killed all the day long; we are
accounted as sheep for the
slaughter.

Nay, in all these things we are more
than conquerors through him that

loved us.
For I am persuaded, that neither
death, nor life, nor angels, nor

principalities, nor powers, nor
things present, nor things to come,

Nor height, nor depth, nor any
other creature, shall be able to
separate us from the love of God,
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Sister Crysta Halbert
Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Christ
which strengtheneth me.

Rev. Sister Karen King

Therefore if
any man be in

Christ,
he is a new
creature:
old things are
passed away;

behold,
all things are
become new.

Sister Dianne Dodd

2 Corinthians 5:7

For we walk by faith,
not by sight.

Sister Lena Hamilton

Proverb 3:5-6

Trust in
the LORD with
all thine heart;
and lean not
unto thine own
understanding.
In all thy ways
acknowledge
him, and he
shall direct thy

paths.

Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is
the substance

of things
hoped for,
the evidence
of things
not seen.

Sister Cheri Rankin Smith

When thou passest through the waters, I will
be with thee; and through the rivers, they

Sister Kenyada Mason

love, as Christ

for us an
offering and a
sacrifice to God

for a
sweetsmelling

savour.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the
thoughts that I think

toward you, saith
the LORD, thoughts
of peace, and not of
evil, to give you an

expected end.

Sister Tresa Evans

Sister Bridgett Stewart

23rd Psalm

The LORD is my shepherd;
I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in
green pastures: he leadeth me

beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth
me in the paths of righteousness

for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the
valley of the shadow of death, I

will fear no evil: for thou art
with me; thy rod and thy staff

they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me
in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil;

my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall
follow me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of

the LORD for ever.

a good man

and he
delighteth in

his way.
