TAROT and Friends

Welcome to the very first issue of the quarterly Tarot magazine! Our first issue reflects our friendly,
people-orientated community. We've come a long way to reach our now not-so-new home in
Ravana. Relocating to Ravana allowed us to finally unite with old friends from datacentre's far
away. We have also been incredibly lucky to have made many new friends in the process, too! Over
the past few months we've had plenty of map runs, Farming Fridays and birthday parties! I hope
you enjoy Tarot magazine. Please do reach out if you are interested in being involved in the making
of our second issue, which will be published in June 2022. Happy reading!

AMAZING RACE

Martandan Lelly pitted 3 teams against each other to decipher 10 unique clues
that led them on a journey to various locations around Eorzea! This Amazing
Race sent the contestants all the way from Gridania to Kugane, and many
magnificent places in between.
Team Chasing Chungus (Beb and Dera) showed us all the value of thinking
outside the box by completing the Race back to front, and taking first place in
the process. The Short Stuff and The Teariffic Radventurers were neck-and-neck
all race, resulting in both teams coming in at second place. Sacrificing some time
on the race awarded The Radventurers with the Best Screenshots prize! The
Teariffic Radventurers were also dubbed Best Team Name, with
their quality punny name that incorporated their love of
both tea and adventuring. Thank you Lelly for coordinating
such a fantastic event! You really won't want to miss out on
the next one!

COLLECTOR'S ALMANAC

Hello and welcome to the first edition of the Collectors Almanac wherein we discuss and showcase
the expansive list of unique, obscure and sometimes unknown collectors items found around the
vast world of Eorzea. In the spirit of this being our first foray into the world of collectables in
magazine form, what better way to start than by giving ourselves the sun and moon? Well, at least in
smaller form. The universe still needs the actual sun and moon... Probably. A staple pair of minions
for the aspiring gposer, these two minions, unlike their much larger counterparts, are actually very
out of the way and easy to miss to even the most observant of explorers.
In order to get these miniature celestial bodies, one has to visit the Isles
of Umbra located within Western La Noscea, which can be accessed
after the completion of the A Realm Reborn MSQ either by flight or via
side quest storylines which also unlock access to a few extra dungeons
in the area, along with a potential set of A and S Rank hunt mark spawn
locations in the Isles themselves. Once you have arrived, hidden around
the corner of the bottom left side of the island sits an inconspicuous
Magic Pot, which you can exchange an Elixir and Hi-Elixir for the Sun
and Moon minions respectively.
A feature of these minions are their ability to project themselves as a light source that can be
adjusted to various heights via emote to add an extra spotlight or light angle to any gposes or areas
that you have them summoned in. Simply /poke to adjust the height of the minion as you see fit.
This minion can be adjusted to 4 different heights. The Wind-Up Sun minion projects a warm yellow
light, while the Wind-Up Moon has a cooler-toned light.
Pretty simple steps, but easily missed thanks to the out of the way location in an area seldom
explored outside of a few quests in the back corner where even fewer deign to look.
