Tambanokano was a folklore from an Ethnic group,
Mandaya in Mindanao. According to the folklore,
Tambanokano is a giant crab born by the union of the
Sun and the Moon. It says that occasionally, when
Tambanokano gets mad at his mother he swallows his
mom and when it happens people create loud noises
to scare of the crab thus the reason for
the eclipse.

OUR COMPANY

The Project

Tambanokano Aqua Farm will start through converting
the 1265 farmland into crab condominums and create
vertical farming and fattening of mud crabs with the
use of Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS).
Recirculating aquaculture systems is an emerging
method of fish and crab productions which minimizes
water consumption, provides maximum control of the
crab’s environment and reduces the risk of exposure to
parasites, diseases and predators. It widely used in
Malaysia and Indonesia.

The Competitors Right now, there are only 13 hatcheries
of mud crabs in the Philippines and
SeaTrace International Inc.
around 500 mud crab raisers but only a
Rea Sea Seafoods few who are using RAS.

The Project

In traditional crab farming, it takes 4-5 months before a
mud crab can be harvested but with RAS system, it will
take only 15-20 days to harvest the mud crabs.
The reason for this is we are going to buy matured
crabs in the market and take care of them until it gets
fat and sell it on a profit.
We are going to start with 400 condominium units and
and with the land's area it is possible to house 8,000
crabs in these crab condominiums.

Rough Estimate of Demands

3.7 million Metric Tons by the end of year 2026
Philippines is one of the largest mud crab producers
and has it been poised to grow by USD 3.02 billion
during 2022-2025 progressing at a CAGR of 3% during
the forecast period.
San Miguel Corporation has also established the mud
crab production to improve production to meet
demand in the coming years.
We are targetting to produce at least 0.085% of the
total industry demand.

Distribution Strategy

Traditional Selling – we can talk to the buyers of crabs
in Malabon Port Area. With this, we can supply the
local markets of the fresh harvested crabs.
Chinese/Foreign Buyers – we can sell our harvested
products to Chinese restaurants in China, Singapore
and Malaysia.
E-commerce Platform – we create a website where
people can buy our products and deliver them through
delivery services such as Lalamove, Transportify and
Grab.
Social Media – we can offer these to Facebook groups
and use Facebook pages to offer our products to the
masses.

Risk Analysis

If net cash inflow will continue to increase over the
next 1-5 years, the projected cash flow is worth
P10,821,218.79 at present time at 12 discount rate.
Since the resulting NPV is far greater than the initial
capital by P2,562,739.00 it indicates that pursuing the
proposed project is optimal for the business venture
and especially for the benefit of the Philippine
economy and all of our stakeholders.
For the five years project period, the length of time to
recoup the invested amount of P2,562,739.00 is for 9
months & 29 days. However this method is only one of
a tool for use in short term budgetting process within
the operating cycle.

The cost of the project is 2,562,739.00 pesos
The land is already in the possession of Mary Grace
Silverio and owns 55% of the company
We are looking for partners who can help us to get the
1,153,232.55 for a 45% equity.
Return of Investement Rate is 20-30%.
