Through the initiative of the PENRO and the all-out support of the management and all
employees, every goal has become an achievement for PENRO Abra. Big outcomes in the
improvement of PENRO Abra office has been achieved. It was year 2019 when the new building
was constructed and completed. More improvements were put in this year 2020. Finally, the new
building has now a name plate installed. Dividers for every section/ unit in both divisions were
set in place. Every day, employees ensure the cleaning of work place and regular disinfection for
a COVID-free and healthy working environment. The old building of PENRO Abra was also
improved and the ground floor was now converted into a conference hall with conference tables
fabricated by our Bantay Gubat. A bigger also kitchen was constructed at the back parallel to the
old and mini kitchen of the old building. It has a bigger space for cooking preparations and bigger
dining area.

CENRO Lagangilang in the leadership of OIC-CENR Officer For. Shirley T. Leaño
had accomplished innovative activities in order to provide comfort to employees and clients,
upgrade the physical appearance of the office and in support to the development and
conservation of the Environment Natural Resources, these are: a) fabrication of office table
out of the apprehended undocumented forest products, with clearance from the Regional
Office; b) construction of vehicle garage that was used as holding facility of clients to avoid
crowding inside the office during the pandemic; c) shedding of LAMS building; d) donation
of 760.63 bdft. of lumber to the Provincial Government of Abra on May 27, 2020 for the
construction of Provincial Isolation Facility at Tayum, Abra for COVID-19 patients; e)
landscaping and beatification of office surroundings; and g) maintenance of office nursery.
