Pretend to be a Fluffy Rabbit
Squat Pose: Stand with
your feet apart and squat
by bending both legs. Your
knees are apart and your
elbows are resting on your
knees. Stay in this
position for one minute.
Now touch the ground with
your hands and jump up
like a rabbit. Repeat 4
times

Pretend to be a Tall Tree
Tree Pose: Stand on one leg.
Bend the other leg and place
the sole of your foot on your
inner thigh. Stretch your
arms above your head and
sway like a tree in the
breeze. As you stretch your
arms, breathe in through
your nose and stand tall. As
you bring down your arms,
exhale through your mouth. Repeat 4 times and
switch to the other leg.

Pretend to be a Sunflower
Flower Pose: Stand on one
leg. Bend the other leg and
place the sole of your foot on
your inner thigh. Stretch
your arms above your head
and sway like a tree in the
breeze. As you stretch your
arms, breathe in through
your nose and stand tall. As
you bring down your arms,
breathe out through your
mouth. Repeat 4 times and switch to the other
leg.

Pretend to be an Eagle
Cobbler’s Pose: Begin sitting down
with your legs straight in front of
you. Bend your legs and bring the
soles of your feet together. Let
your knees fall on both sides as you
bring your feet closer to your body
as long as it is comfortable. Press
your feet together and flap your
legs like an eagle’s wings. Imagine
flying in the air.

Meditation for Kids:

Hummingbird Breathing
Sit comfortably on the floor, criss cross apple sauce.
Gently place your pointer fingers in your ears. Close
your eyes and imagine yourself in a beautiful garden
of flowers. Its summer time and the sun is out.
Now breathe in through your nose. Imagine smelling
the beautiful flowers as you take a deep breathe in
and then hum quietly as you breathe out of your nose.
That’s the sound of a hummingbird’s wings flying
through the garden. Repeat breathing into your nose
and then hum again as you breathe out of your nose.
Imagine yourself flying from flower to flower. What
a beautiful place to be. You can repeat this five
times.

Rock a Bye Baby Breathing
Lie comfortably on the floor and place a small
stuffed animal on your stomach. Close your eyes and
relax. Let’s Rock a Bye Baby for its time for a nap.
Now breathe in deeply through your nose. Can you
feel your stuff animal as it rose? Then exhale slowly
through your mouth, feel it lower as you rock a bye
baby. Breathe in again throw your nose and exhale
through your mouth. Your stuffed animal is tired, so

breathe in deep. Slowly breathe out to rock your
stuff animal to sleep.

Partner Breathing
Find a partner and sit on the floor, criss cross apple
sauce, back to back. Sit tall no matter if you are
small. It’s you and your partner that’s all. Decide
who will start so that you can do your part. Now
close your eyes and that person shall begin. Inhale
deeply then exhale slowly and do it again.
Wholly molly, I can feel my partner breathing back
to back for fact. It’s time for me to follow and I
can’t breathe too shallow. For it’s me and my
partner, relaxing and breathing time together.

Tootsie Roll Breathing
Sit comfortably on the floor. Close your eyes and
imagine a big tootsie roll. As you take a slow deep
breath in through you nose, raise your shoulders up
towards a flag on a pole. Then breathe slowly out
through your mouth, exhale, lowering your shoulders
down a black hole. Repeat slowly rolling shoulders,
inhale, and exhale rolling your shoulders like a tootsie
roll.
