“Raising Above
the Norm”

“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever

things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever

things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything

praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”
– Philippians 4:8

Our Mission Statement

Women of Excellence: Rising Above the Norm:
Is a women’s ministry designed to help women of God achieve and reach their
purpose through demonstrating obedience and submission to God’s divine will
and living so that they can walk in the life, that God has predestine for His
daughters of excellence.
This happens through counseling, mentoring and teaching, that comes by
empowering and inspiring knowledge of the Holy Spirit.
In which, the Word of God will assist each woman individually, to discover their
true identity in Christ and in ministry.
Through the word which will help develop, grow and nurture them, from the
inside, out.

Our Purpose

Is to help develop, grow and cultivate women, so that they can find value
themselves, in the spirit of excellence and integrity as they walk in love. So that
they can understand that they are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus, for they
are created in the image of God to do great and wonderful things in His holy and
magnificent name.
Our purpose also includes encouraging women by serving and reaching out to
those who are experiencing emotional strongholds, physical struggles and
spiritual trials.
We are here to reach the masses, regardless of social background and ethnical
upbringing; we are here to lead women of God into their divine purpose in the
Lord.

Our Objective

Is to help women build a personal ministry where the Holy Spirit can
deposit something spiritual that will provide you with tools that will aid
you with personal, professional and spiritual insight that will release you
to speak directly and positively into any and all adversities, challenges, struggles
and tribulations.
We are here to help the women of God balance their many God-priorities that
were imparted to them by the Holy Spirit.

Ministry Focus:

Mentoring has always been part of God’s design for weaving together the lives of
His people. The Bible commands us to mentor others; women of God are chosen
for this calling. We are qualified for mentorship, because mentoring builds the
church; and it benefits the mentor as well.
Mentors speak words of encouragement, inspiration and wisdom into the mentee
lives, so theycan become powerful catalysts for personal, professional and
spiritual growth.
First, key ministry focus is to equip mentees on how to be constructive and
positive women on the journey of faith.
Second, key ministry focus is to train mentees howto be more beneficial influence
on others that they come in contact with on their jobs, their homes, their
communities and their ministries.

The greatest insight a mentor can bring to the believer’s life comes in as
objectivity and perspective, especially when it comes to making difficult
decisions.

Influential mentors realize the importance of separating themselves and their
feelings, when helping mentoree during various life situations.

Mentors have come to realization that they must be willing to consider the
needs of the mentee and put them above their own.

Becoming A Woman Of Excellence

A woman of excellence,
Is what I desire to be;
Filled with godly wisdom,
So it becomes part of me.

A woman of integrity,
No matter what may come my way;

Standing up for holiness,
And for God’s saving grace.

A woman designed for greatness,
Living out the Master’s unique plan;
Following God’s divine will and walking in righteousness,
Being guided by God’s loving hand.

A woman of purpose and promise,
Standing on God’s holy word;
Holding onto truthfulness,

While carrying out the Great Commission.

A woman of compassion,
For the ones who are trapped in darkness;

Those that do not know your way,
And have wickedness in their hearts.

A woman of uncompromising faith,
Who never abandon the Word of God;

As I walk in the spirit of obedience,
But will remove on the straight and narrow pathway.

A woman who loves Christ Jesus
And will only follow Him;
Gladly to give up the world,

So, His light can shine within.

Lord, I desire to find favor,
As a daughter by your grace;
I long to grow in Your righteousness,
As I walk with you by faith.

“My son, eat honey because it is good, And the

honeycomb which is sweet to your taste; So shall

the knowledge of wisdom be to your soul; If you

have found it, there is a prospect, And your hope

will not be cut off.” – Proverbs 24:13-14

➢ Mentors understand that on this tedious journey, God is using them to listen to
the beat of mentee heart. By doing so their own heart will grow stronger and

they’ll have more energy for the road ahead.
➢ The sweet gift of wisdom that mentors will bring into other’s lives, will put a

smile on one’s face, as their words are as honey dripping on our soul.
Oftentimes, the honest words of a mentor may not necessarily always feel
acceptable or comfortable.
➢ However, you need a mentor who is willing and able to speak hard truths and
when necessary, as to call you out of “darkness into the marvelous light”.
➢ Lastly, mentoring will complement and clarify mentors own understanding;
their mentees will become teachers and mentors.
➢ When a single drop of water hits a still body of water, a ripple effect takes place.

• So, when the movement that spreads far beyond the reaches of the original
drop to the very edges of the surface, will allow the entire body of water to
be changed.

➢ As believers in Christ, we are women who are called to mentor others by
lovingly sharing our faith and life through relationships, building up fellow
sisters in Christ and showing Christ to the unsaved (unbelievers).

• We do realize that sharing our faith through our lives experiences and
testimonies may present themselves as challenges in a culture that is
increasingly hostile to biblical Christianity.

Spiritual mentors are to be ready to train younger women with the essentials tools
they need to live godly lives. Younger women are searching for mature, godly role
models: such as a Sarah, a Naomi, an Elizabeth, to guide them in the truth of God’s
Word.

Walking in the Spirit of
Excellence:

“Rising Above the Norm”

“Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.
For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the
Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.”

– Isaiah 60:1-2

What is “Excellence? We must understand this first before we every begin

speaking about the excellence we are to have in our work. We must have a “working”
definition of “excellence” in a manner that God defines it. We find in Scriptures, an
exhortation of Peter telling us that God has called us to His glory and His excellence.
“As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the
knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue” – II Peter 1:3.

This kind of excellence is the excellence of God’s character or His moral
perfection. We are called to a lifestyle that is moral righteous, for there is no greater
answer than this. How can we be excellent in God’s sight? God desires men to mirror
His excellence. Men must be imitators of God.

Being like Him is our goal as Christian in our walk with Jesus. So being
excellent before Him would mean being perfect like Him. It is a mirroring of His
attributes and character.

Excellence is doing ordinary thing in an exceptional way. Anything worth
doing is worth doing right with excellence. Excellence is not an aptitude, it is an
attitude. There is nothing as powerful as attitude. Since, attitude dictates our
response to the present and determines the quality of our future. We are our attitude,
and our attitude is us. Attitude creates our world and designs our destiny.

Because, God does everything in an excellent manner, so when He created the
universe into existence He did so in a perfect, excellent and penetrating manner;
every detail and characteristic just right, from the greatest to the least. God expects
us to portray His character, so if He did and does things with excellence, we should
as well.
If it is our desire to become a leader then we must learn to develop ourselves
spiritually. We must learn to be led by the Spirit of God. And we must cultivate the

spirit of excellence. “The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord, Searching all the inner depths of

his heart” – Proverbs 20:27.
God enlightens us through our spirit, in which the condition of our spirit will
determine how well we hear and receive from the Holy Spirit. The condition of our
spirit, whether it is weak and dull, or strong and vibrant is the direct result of what
we have done with what God has given us. God can and will only lead us by His
spirit.
However, it is vitally important that we come to the place where our spirit man is
submissive to God and always capable of receiving from God accurately at all times.
Spiritual maturity is a quest for character for which there will be little progress
without the pursuit of excellence. The American Heritage Dictionary, excellence is
defined as “The state, quality, or condition of excelling; superiority. The word excel is
defined as, “to do or be better than; surpass; to show superiority, surpass others.”
Then under the word excel, the following terms are listed and explained as synonyms
for excel.

Biblically speaking, the pursuit of excellence refers to pursuing and doing the
best we can with the gifts and abilities God gives, giving our best to the glory of God.
But ideally, it is done without the spirit of competition or seeking to excel simply to
be better than others.
What does it mean to pursue excellence? Oftentimes we have a sense of bettering
ourselves to become excellent at something, maybe even to impress others at what
we do. Maybe we are trying to simply see how good we are at a given task. What
does it really mean to be excellent? What does God mean when he tells us to be
excellent?
Walking in the Spirit of excellence or the pursuit of excellence is never a matter of
simply choosing between what is good or bad, but of choosing what is best or
superior because it will better enable us to accomplish what God has designed us to
be and do. Excellence includes doing common, everyday things, but in very
uncommon ways regardless of whether people are watching.

”As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men,
especially unto them who are of the household of faith.”

– Galatians 6:10

The reality is that God sees our work and rewards us accordingly. “Therefore,

my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing

that your labor is not in vain in the Lord” – I Corinthians 15:58.
This means that the strength and abilities we have are to be used to take

advantage of the opportunities God gives us as they lie in the scope of our gifts,
strength, His leading, and our responsibilities.
"The secret of living a life of excellence is merely a matter of thinking thoughts of
excellence. The quality of a person's life is in direct proportion to their commitment
to excellence, regardless of their chosen field of endeavor."

The pursuit of excellence from a biblical world view is always connected with

the issue of God’s values and priorities. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ

Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” – Ephesians
2:10

In keeping with the fact that all believers are to abound or excel in the
expression of Christian love, the apostle prayed that the Philippians may have greater
knowledge and every kind of discernment. However, in order for you to excel in love
and wisely express it, they needed to be able “to approve the things that are
excellent”.

Both of these passages point us to the all-inclusive nature of the pursuit of
excellence. The words, “whatever your hand finds to do” and “whatever you do” point
to the importance of doing our very best in everything we do. The preacher of
Ecclesiastes teaches us that apart from faith in God and living one’s life for Him, life
is empty and futile. But this does not mean that men should therefore have a supine
attitude by which one simply drifts along since nothing really matters because it
does. Life is full of opportunities and there is sufficient work to be done.

Our moral standing comes through knowledge, in which knowledge through
saving knowledge, of Jesus Christ is essential in order to be morally justified in God’s
sight. Saving faith believes the propositions of the Bible through a regenerate heart.
Christians must have this knowledge, and this faith, if they are ever going to attain an
“excellence” before God.

and match those needs with the fruit of the Spirit.

To help women of God to understand that we are all given different spiritual
gifts and different natural abilities to be used for the glory of God. By reaching
and teaching women of God, how to share their faith and be witness to the
goodness of the Lord.
Through three key elements: discipleship, stewardship, and servanthood, by
developing and nurturing women of God with spiritual tools necessary. By
being daily examples of the gospel of Jesus so that we can aid them how to
walk out their preordained destiny.
As spiritual mentors, we are to help women of God, draw closer to Jesus and to
teach them through the Word how to receive deliverance and healing so that
they can live more victoriously.

We are here to find opportunities to help women where they are, so that can
become stronger in the Word of God, and mature in their faith and wiser while
leading others to Christ.

child issues, special situations, life challenges and spiritual strongholds.
To help women deal with daily trials and adverse struggles, by showing them
how to embrace their calling.
Help women to attain their visionary dreams and goals, while enabling them to
achieve the best that the Lord has in store for them, while addressing their
various challenges and needs:

▪ Emotional strongholds
▪ Employment discriminations and frustrations

▪ Inner child issues and abuse
▪ Leadership skills
▪ Marital struggles
▪ Medical challenges and complications
▪ Time management
Teaching all women how to have a balance between family, professional and
ministry life through constructive mentoring and counseling; by assisting them
how take on life challenges and struggles to put what they have learned into
practice and use it to serve in the Kingdom of God.
By helping young women and babes in Christ understand that spiritual
maturity is achieved through becoming more like Jesus Christ. Since,
Christian maturity requires a radical reordering of one’s priorities, changing
over from pleasing self to pleasing God and learning to obey God.
Ultimately, we are here to help others, grow through their hardships,
oppositions, and struggles, because the Scripture teaches that you are not to
grow weary in the process. By allowing them to understand that the bible is a
bridge to the culture, not as a barricade against it.

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Notwithstanding ye have

well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction”
– Philippians 4:13-14
