Introduction

Do you know what has a
long slender bill? If you
guessed a hummingbird you are
correct! Hummingbirds are the
smallest birds in the world.
Hummingbirds are small and
cute but mean. They are located
in the U.S.A and Canada.
Hummingbirds migrate in the
winter to warmer places. Some
hummingbirds are able to live on
islands.

Hummingbirds have very
glittery bodies. Hummingbirds have a
long slender bill. Hummingbirds have
very tiny feet with four toes on each
foot. Hummingbirds eyes are high up
on their heads. Hummingbirds feet
are not used for perching on trees
because their feet are so tiny and
because their feet are very weak.
Hummingbirds have ears even
though you can’t see them. They also
have very stiff necks.

rainforests, deserts, mountion
ranges, and pine forests.

live in southern california.
Hummingbirds are very
tropical. they can live on
islands such as the caribbean
islands. Hummingbirds habitat
is in the U.S.A. Hummingbirds
migrate.

Hummingbirds can live up to
six years of age.
Hummingbirds are the only
bird in the world to fly in
any direction. They need to
eat a lot so they can fly.
