Introduction

Do you know what is easy to train,smart,loyal and a friendly
breed….if you guessed A LABRADOR RETRIEVER you are
right ! labrador retrievers are one of the most popular dogs in
the world of dogs! They are super cute and cuddle,thay will
love you forever and ever!

Chapter 1 Appearance

Did you know that labrador retrievers fur is only black,
yellow,chocolate .
Their bottom layer is thick and keeps them warm. The top
layer is thick and helps labs dry quickly ,the tail helps them
direct them self in water and out of the water, their web feet
help them to swim , their strong muscles help them to swim
,run and play .most adult labs mostly weigh up to 55-80
pounds ,their usual height is 21 ½ inches to 24 ½ inches.

Just because labs are called retrievers does not mean they come from
The a place in canada called labrador. Some people first saw them on a nearby
island called Newfoundland. The dogs today came from all different kinds of dogs.
A breed called st.John's water dogs is thought to be an ancestor of labs and other
types of retrievers .the s.t John's water dogs are now extinct. Most People aren't
really sure about the whole history of labs. They don't agree on exactly how the
labs breed originated. people first brought labs to the U.S.A in the early 1900s. At
first,dogs exports grouped labs together with other retrievers. However,in the
1920s labs were named as their own breed. labs are good yus for retrieving prey
in the water and on land,most people think that the fisherman who worked near
Newfoundland wanted dogs that could retrieve fishing nets left off shore. Other
people think that the breed started out in England with s.t.John's water
dogs.Early lads may have been good at retrieving for hunters on land in England's

Chapter 3-Exciting energy

Strong dog like labs are still popular hunting dogs and amazing at
finding birds and other prey on land and in the water. Dogs also
claim their territory by rubbing their scent on things just like
tigers. Everyone knows when dogs swim thay do the doggie
paddle,dogs love it when people through their toy to them or
even a little treat, they will also go fetch and bring it back.If you
through their toy in the water they will jump in and grab it and
come back.
