PROGRAM COMMITTEE
Contact: Soror Tonja Ringgold, Chairman
North Atlantic Region Program Committee
North Atlantic Region Representative,
International Program Committee
[email protected]
Greetings Sorors of the Notable North Atlantic
Region! As we move through the summer months and prepare for our chapter
retreats, I want to share some critical programmatic points for you to include
in your information sharing.
Chapter Program Information for Summer Retreats
• Phased in chapter community service reopening:
• Chapters may now perform community service face-to-face. Outdoor community service
is preferred.
• Approval of program activities from the Regional Director is no longer required.
• No more than 50 SORORS are permitted to engage in the face-to-face program activity.
• Full vaccination is preferred for all sorors participating in face-to-face program activities.
• Follow CDC, State, and local guidelines.
• Post action photos for service not posing photos.
• Basilei and Program Chairs should review chapter outcomes with chapter members during the
summer retreat and finalize the 2021-2022 program year so that they can bring “Excellence”
Program activities to closure by June 2022.
Program Reporting and Review:
• Report COVID – 19 vaccine activities under “Other Programs” in the AKA1908.com chapter
reporting link.
• Program Chairs need to upload all program reports by December 1, 2021, in order to be
included in Madam Supremes’ interim data report. Reports uploaded after December 1 will not
be included in the report.
14
Chapter Program Activities:
• All chapters are encouraged to conduct at least one Grow with Google (GwG) workshops per
month.
• Submit chapter #CAP videos to Regional Program
Boule Programmatic Kudos to the North Atlantic Region:
As reported during Boule Part II on July 16, 2021, during the International Economic Impact Report,
the sorors of the Notable North Atlantic Region have knocked it out the park as it relates to our
economic impact.
The calculation of economic impact is based on four metrics:
1. Region and National Conference
2. Volunteer activities as calculated by hours
3. Sorority Program Activity
4. Chapter local & community spending/Activity
Sorors, the Programmatic Economic Impact for the NAR for the period of 2018 – 2020 is
$126,230,000! We could not have done this without the great leadership of our Regional Director,
NAR Regional Program Team, Chapter Basilei, Chapter Program Chairs, Target leads and of course
chapter members and community volunteers/partners. Together we made this happen and you
should be very proud!!
15
Sorors as we round the turn into our final season of “Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable
Service” I want you all to continue to push toward your chapter goals, be safe, healthy, and provide the
best service possible to your local and regional communities. Have a great summer.
