TABLE OF CONTENTS
Welcome to the 90th North Atlantic Regional
Conference. From the time you click in between
March 4 - 7, 2021, this will be a regional conference
like none other you have attended. And it is the first
of the sorority’s regional conference season. The
North Atlantic Region will lead with a high note as
we virtually enter Philadelphia; the City of Brotherly
Love and Sisterly Affection. So, tune up now for
“Exemplifying Excellence with Perfect Pitch in Philly.”
With your help, we will sound the right note as we convene to conduct the business of
Alpha Kappa Alpha, honor our members who have done outstanding work and learn
from each other. You can expect the plenary sessions to be informative and inspiring.
And we hope you will take advantage of the engaging workshops and forums offered to
support strengthening your chapter operations. After we work hard, we will celebrate
the laurels we have won and honor those sorors whose work has been outstanding. We
especially pay tribute to our Diamond, Pearl, Golden and Silver Sorors.
The host sorors of Cluster II have shown great flexibility in preparation for your arrival,
first planning for an in-person experience and then deftly pivoting to the virtual world.
You can look forward to a whole new way of experiencing this regional conference. We
have built in mindful moment breaks and interactive activities to keep you engaged.
The NAR Kurrency is back and will take the form of points gained on the “Leaderboard”
that you may redeem for fun giveaways and discounts in the vendor area. Another
benefit of this virtual conference is the ability to visit the site and selected content until
April 4, 2021.
In spite of all that has occurred over the past program year of 2020, we have persevered
and made an impact in the communities we serve. Let’s continue to lead with a high
note as we realize the vision of Madam Supreme Basileus, Glenda Glover through the
Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service Program. I thank you in advance
for joining me and the Host Sorors of Cluster II as we all blend our voices to achieve
Perfect Pitch in Philly!

the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do
not give up.” Galatians 6:9 (NIV)
Greetings Sorors of the Notable North Atlantic Region!
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Virtual 90th
North Atlantic Regional Conference. Although COVID-
19 has forced us to reimagine how we gather for the first
time in our Region’s history, the sorors of Cluster II are
excited to bring this conference to you under the theme
Exemplifying Excellence with Perfect Pitch in Philly.
Always Leading on a High Note, North Atlantic Region Director Soror Mary Bentley
LaMar is working in concert with the creative and dynamic sorors of Cluster II to bring
forth an informative, interactive, and engaging event.
Known for its musical history, the Philly sound will serve as our soundtrack as we pay
tribute to our new Diamond, Pearl, Golden and Silver sorors, “Tap In” with our
Undergraduate sorors, and bring the conference to a close with an evening dedicated
to our Founders during our Awards Gala.
Sorors, in addition to the great fun we have planned, there will be opportunities to
learn through workshops and institutes and we will celebrate our community awardees
at the Public Meeting. We will serve all mankind and enrich our sisterhood through
our Exemplifying Excellence through Sustainable Service projects.
The Cluster II sorors are warming their collective voices to bring forth a harmonious
conference that will be Exemplifying Excellence with Perfect Pitch throughout the
North Atlantic Region.
Yours in Pitch Perfect Sisterhood,

WK19 Exemplifying Excellence Through Servant Leadership
Leadership expert John Maxwell says, “Why you lead and the way you lead are important. They
define you, your leadership, and ultimately your contribution.” Sadly, most people do not equate
leadership to service. In fact, too many leaders think being a leader means having power and
authority over others. However, some of the top performing companies like The Ritz-Carlton,
Starbucks, Whole Foods, and Chick-fil-A are led by self-described “servant leaders.” They value
service to others and are people-centric in their approach to leading. In this session, we will
explore the application of spiritual values and principles that can impact and influence your
leadership style, enrich the lives of others, while also building a stronger sisterhood and
organization.

DELEGATE VOTING INSTRUCTIONS
Contact: Soror Sharon Wells, Head Teller
[email protected]
Voting Overview — the Process for Voters - Easy as 1,2,3.
When a voter receives a method to access the ballot (i.e. receives a notice to participate in an
election), the process is quite simple: click the link to vote, make your choices, verify your choices,
and submit your choices.
Voters DO NOT need an ElectionBuddy account to vote.
1. Open your voter notice and follow the instructions to access the ballot:
For email notices, either click on the link in the email or copy the link and paste it
into your browser's address bar. Both methods will automatically take you to the ballot
for the election.
For SMS (text message) notices, either click on the link in the text or copy the link and
paste it into your browser's address bar. Both methods will automatically take you to the
ballot for the election.
You have also been assigned a unique access key and password which is necessary for
you to cast your votes, as business arises, during the conference. NOTE: The access key
= Your Financial Number. The password will be provided to you by email.
2. Enter your choices on the ballot:
Once at the ballot, the general process is "make your choices," - but the exact process will be
determined by the type of election that is being run. You should see instructions both at the top
of the page and at the top of each position or question on the ballot. The instructions specific to
each type of voting method being used per question will be outlined in the instructions specific
to each question. After you have filled out the ballot, click on "Verify Your Selection".
3. Verify the ballot and submit:
This will take you to the second page in the voting process: on this page, you confirm that your
ballot is filled out the way you would like, and then you click "Submit" to send your ballot to
ElectionBuddy to be counted. Following this step, click NEXT VOTE in preparation for pending
votes.
Upon a successful vote, a "Thank you!" message will appear on a confirmation page. You may
also receive a voting receipt; it will be sent to your email address, but only if it is enabled by the
election administrator. In either case, you can always print your confirmation page as a record
of your successful ballot submission.
