PULAU DUYUNG If you want a fancy trip out of the center of Kuala Terengganu, then you can head to Pulau Duyung which is the largest island in the estuary across from the city. The island is famous for it' s fishing boat building businesses and you can come here and see how the boats have been built much in the same style and using the same tools for centuries. Getting to the island is part of the fun as you get to take a local ferry across and take in the cool breeze and views from the vantage point of the water.


MASJID IN TERENGGANU Masjid Kristal is one of the most famous places in Terengganu. Masjid Kristal was built from glass, crystal and steel. One of the unique thing with this mosque was the mosque is floating. It was located at Kawasan Pelancongan Taman Tamadun Islam, Pulau Wan Man,Kuala Terengganu. Many people from another country and state come here visiting the mosque and take a picture for memories. This is one of the tourist attraction in Terengganu and also can be used to perform prayer for muslim. The Tengku Tengah Zaharah Mosque or the mosque that is better known as the Floating Mosque is located on Jalan Sultan Mahmud, Kuala Ibai about 7 km from the city of Kuala Terengganu and close to the Terengganu beach area. This mosque is an interesting place in Terengganu.. The mosque has their own unique classic Islamic architecture and it was painted with a brilliant white. It was build above the manmake lake and it gave a beautiful view during sunset. Many local and tourist come here to capture a memories with the beautiful gleaming white structure of the mosque that reflected in water. The mosque can also be visited by non muslim people as long as they dress up properly and for muslims they can perfom prayer outside the exact time we supposed to pray. BUKIT KELUANG Bukit Keluang has its own attraction that can amaze local and foreign visitors with its beauty and uniqueness.It is also the same as other beaches found in Besut which is a source of natural and unique attractions with clean beach sand and a magnificent hill.Here, there are many facilities such as rest houses, restaurants, public toilets, waqf for resting and others. The green of the forest that has not been disturbed reconciles the eyes of the beholder. Its clean beaches and blue ocean in addition to the beauty of small islands that can be seen from afar, make this tourist destination so famous for visitors.Visitors usually hiking the hill early in the morning, before dawn to see the beauty of the sunrise from up there.


WATERFAL L La Hot Spring (Taman Rekreasi Air Panas La Hot Spring) is situated in a remote location of Hulu Terengganu.It was opened to the public as a tourist center in 1992 in conjunction with the launching of the Development Expo and Besut District Cultural Fair. The hot water that bursts from a hillside and flows has a different degree of heat which is between 50 to 75 celcius. Visitors usually go there to take a bath and have a picnic with their family, friends and their love one. Apart from that, there are also man made hot springs and spa-like pools meant for the public to enjoy the warmth of the hot springs with privacy.The main attraction is the natural hot spring which is believed to be able to cure diseases while maintaining body freshness. Moreover, La Hot Spring also provides various facilities for the public such as rest house, musalla, lavatories, restaurants and many others. This recreation center has actually long existed and have been visited by local residents during weekends and public holidays to enjoy the beauty of nature.The number of visitors coming to this place has never lessen as there are people coming everyday. Kuah singgang THIS FOOD NAME IS LOMPAT TIKAM BUT IT NOT MEANS TO JUMP AND STAB AND IT IS A SWEET AND COLD DESSERT WHICH CONSISTS OF TWO MAIN PARTS, THE GREEN PART UNDERNEATH AND THE WHITE PART ON TOP OF IT. A SOLUTION OF RICE FLOUR IS STIRRED TILL IT IS COOKED. THE MIXTURE OF RICE FLOUR AND WATER IS COOKED UNTIL THICKENED THEN POURED ONTO THE FIRST LAYER TO BECOME A TWO LAYERED DELICIOUS DESSERT. A GENEROUS HELPING OF COCONUT PALM SYRUP COMPLIMENTS THE SWEETNESS AND THE UNIQUE TASTE OF THE DESSERT AND IS SUITABLE AS AN EVENING SNACK. KUIH AKOK (OR JUST AKOK) IS A TRADITIONAL SWEET MALAYSIAN SNACK ORIGINATING FROM KELANTAN AND TERENGGANU. IT'S USUALLY MADE WITH A COMBINATION OF EGGS, COCONUT MILK, WATER, SUGAR, FLOUR, AND SALT. A BATTER CONSISTING OF EGGS, COCONUT MILK, FLOUR, SUGAR, AND SALT IS POURED INTO A MUFFIN PAN OR SIMILAR ROUNDED MOLDS, AND IT'S THEN BAKED IN THE OVEN UNTIL THE TOP BECOMES GOLDEN BROWN. THE AKOK WILL PUFF UP DURING THE BAKING PROCESS, AND ONCE DONE, IT'S ENJOYED AS A SNACK OR A DESSERT. MOSTLY IN KELANTAN THEY USE EGGS MORE THAN FLOUR, WHILE IN TERENGGANU THEY HAVE A SMOOTH-LOOKING AKOK BECAUSE THEY USE A HIGHER RATIO OF FLOUR TO EGGS. THIS IS DEFINITELY A TERENGGANU DISH: FISH COOKED IN CLEAR BROTH OF TUMERIC, GALANGAL, SHALLOT AND OTHER SPICES. NORMALLY BEST EATEN WITH STEAMED RICE AND A COMBINATION OF TRADITIONAL MALAY INGREDIENTS OF FRESH PALATABLE LEAVES AND HERBS WITH HEALING PROPERTIES SERVED WITH FRESH VEGETABLES AND THE FAMOUS FERMENTED ANCHOVY SAUCE OR WE CALLED IT AS "BUDU". Ulik Mayang Dance In Terengganu, this beautiful dance of worship is the most well-liked.The story goes that some fisherman were trapped in a strange stormin themiddle of the ocean. One of themwas under the bad sea spirit'scontrol. A spirit was then called to revive the possessed fisherman and persuade the ghost to return to the sea when he was brought onshore.The dance, which features 10to 15 dancers and asks the Princess of the Seven Siblings for help,is performed to the lullaby sounds of traditional musicalinstruments and chants of a four-line versed poetry.Themodern version of the UlekMayang is presented at practically all official state events and functions.
