The Sports Medicine Club's objective
is to promote interest and knowledge
in the field of sports medicine and the
role that podiatric medicine plays in

the prevention and treatment of
athletic injuries. Throughout the
year, the club sponsored several
lectures, seminars, and workshops on
podiatric sports medicine. The club is
active in providing podiatric medical
care at various athletic events in the

Cleveland area. The club also
provides opportunities for students to
observe podiatric sports medicine in

various settings.

Kappa Tau Epsilon is an education organization for the students of OCPM. It
offers 1st year students an opportunity to become acclimated to how Gross

Anatomy and Lower Anatomy lab tests are taken by having the students in the
p r evious years set up mock practicals. Although, KTE is not only for 1st years.

Alon g with the Sports Medicine Club, KTE is involved in journal club which
allows students to review an article and discuss it with a faculty member. This is
a great opportunity to prepare yourself for externships and residency programs
because many of them also have journal clubs that require you to participate in.

Then there is the formal that KTE has at the end of every year. This is great
time to enj oy being with your new friends you have made your 1st year or as a

last get t ogether for friends who will be going separate ways on externs and
residencies. Plus, this is a rare opportunity to see fellow classmates dressed up.

The bottom line is that KTE is a great organization to be a part of.
