Biography

Siti Noraini Sulaiman obtained her Ph.D. degree in (Imaging) from the
School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Universiti Sains
Malaysia in 2012, MSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
(Medical Imaging) in 2003 and B.Eng Hons in Electrical and Electronics
from the same university in 2000. She joined Faculty of Electrical
Engineering UiTM Penang Branch as a contract lecturer in 2002 and
currently she is a senior lecturer. She has served UiTM Penang Branch
management team at various levels such as Head of Academic Diploma
Program (EE110) (Ketua Program Diploma (EE110)), Degree Program Coordinator
(Koordinator Program Ijazah) and currently she is Head of Electrical Engineering Centre of
Studies. She is also now attached as deputy chair of Advanced Control System and Computing
Research Group (ACSCRG), Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi MARA,
Penang Campus in Permatang Pauh, Penang, Malaysia. Her main research interest is
biomedical engineering focusing on image filtering, image clustering and algorithm for image
processing. She has published more than 35 technical papers in journals and conference
proceedings locally and internationally. Due to her expertise and experience, she has been
appointed as external and internal postgraduate’s thesis examiner, judge in innovation,
invention and design competition, reviewer for journals and conference proceedings and a
member of international conference committees.
