MARKETS SERVED
Schurco Slurry pumps and parts are installed globally wherever solids are pumped in
various industrial applications.
Industries including mining, mineral processing, frac sand, and aggregate production especially
require the stout and rugged construction of a heavy-duty lined slurry pump like Schurco
Slurry pumps.
The Schurco philosophy of maintaining inventory of our slurry pumps and parts for our
customers to reduce downtime has helped drive the growth and success of the product.

OUR PRODUCTS
Schurco Slurry manufactures several different designs of horizontal
pumps, all of which have the added benefit of interchanging with the
most popular slurry pumps in the world.
Through many years of reverse engineering and product development Schurco
can offer not only new pumps that capitalize on this proven pump design, but
also spare and replacement parts to fit the thousands of installed premium
slurry pumps fielded in the market today.

OUR PRODUCTS
Schurco manufactures centrifugal slurry pumps across a diverse ranges
of sizes and pumping capabilities.
As a true cantilevered vertical slurry pump, the V Series does not have submerged bearings
or seals, thus, eliminating the primary failure mechanism for similarly fielded pump lines.
Vertical pumps from Schurco not only provide excellent wear life properties, they
also operate efficiently to further reduce operating costs. Available as fully elastomer
lined or hard metal configurations. Designed with no submerged bearings or packing
with a unique high capacity double suction design.
Optional recessed impeller and suction agitators are available. Offering innovative
product design and widely configurable range helping our customers reduce
costs.
OUR SERVICES
| Spares
The very nature of pumping solids means that destructive wear on internal
parts is an inevitable part of the life cycle of your slurry pumps. Managing
and reducing that wear is what SchurcoSlurry®doesforourcustomers.
Stocking millions of $ of pumps and parts globally, all of which are interchangeable
with quality premium slurry pump parts. Our global distribution network stands
ready to serve your process needs.
All impellers have been performance tested to certify them against OEM performance,
and we manufacture high replacement parts for other manufacturers as we do our
own: with technical expertise, quality, fair pricing, and product availability for the end
users.

STUFFING BOX SEALS
Thestuffing box is the original shaft seal for any
rotating element through a fixed device. This
seal has stood the test of time, and is still one of
the most common sealing arrangements in
slurry pumps.
Seal water must be supplied at a pressure in
excessof pump discharge pressure.
EXPELLER OR
CENTRIFUGAL SEALS
The Schurco expeller seal can operate
completely leak free during pump operation.
The expeller rides along the shaft and expels
material from the expeller ring cavity.
Consideration must be given to inlet pressure
and pump speed to ensure proper sealing with
this type of seal arrangement.
Thetypical installation introduces greasein lieu
of seal water to provide a static seal against the
inlet pressure when the pump is not operating.
MECHANICAL SEALS
A mechanical seal consists of two principle
components. One component is stationary and
the other rotates against it to achieve a seal.
There are many types of mechanical seals,
ranging from simple single spring designs to
considerably more complex cartridge seal
types, which are the type most commonly
applied on slurry pumps. The design,
arrangement and materials of construction are
essentially determined by the pressure,
temperature, speed of rotation and product
being sealed (the slurry).

SUCCESS STORY
Schurco Slurry have converted most of the pump sets for Base Resources Kenya to Ultra
Polyurethane after a successfultrial run on a little 2X1.5Bpumpset where the metal wear parts
were delivering a wear life of ±6weeks.
After installingthe trial Ultra Polyurethane impeller, the mine saw a drasBc improvementfrom 6
weeks to 3.5 years! Tony Venturini is the Engineering Manager on site & proudly displays these
impellers in his office for when our compeBtors show up.
