Market Action: Nifty (18317) • Nifty PCR – pcr at 0.93 indicating stability in the markets. • 18000 to 18200 put oi stands at around 2.52 cr . 18k is a major base support now. • 18300 and 18500 call oi is seen at around 1.51cr – 18500 next major resistance on Nifty. • On index futures – Fii’s bought 13.3k lots yesterday and are now net short only to the tune of 2.4k ( major shorts covered) • On index options – Fii’s sold calls to the tune of 51.6k contracts and also sold puts to the tune of 1.56 lac ( options data indicating that Fii’s have covered majority of their shorts) • Nifty saw increase in oi to the tune of 10.72% with increase in price to the tune of 1.04% - clear long formation Bank Nifty (43330) • Bank nifty saw increase in oi to the tune of 4.94% with increase in price to the tune of 1.45% - clear long formation • 42500 – 44k is the range coming out of the options data • PCR – 0.86 ( bank nifty is relatively stable) Top strong sectors: Capital goods & Infra , PSE , midcap pharma and speciality chemicals , banks, Hotels, Railway, Tyres, Fertilizers Top weak sectors: Metals, Media 18450 is a 78% Fibo resistance zone for Nifty while Mid and smallcaps continue to outperform largecaps
