Our Sound proof pump enclosures work by absorbing the sound that is emitted from the
pump. This is done by using materials that are specifically designed to absorb sound. All
our pool pump boxes come with thick acoustic foam that are denser than other products
on the market. This means that it is able to absorb the sound much better than other
pool pump boxes.

The Acoustic Box sound proof pool pump enclosures are made from made of Australian
galvanised steel with a thick powder coat finish. They are built specifically for the
Australian summer and not to mention, to last for years to come.

Why is it important to reduce noise levels from your

Noise pollution is a real issue, and it can be particularly bothersome when it comes from
a pool pump. Not only is the noise itself annoying, but it can also disturb your peace and
quiet. If you live in an area where there are strict noise ordinances, it's important to take
steps to reduce the noise levels from your pool pump. A sound proof pool pump
enclosure is one way to do this.

Most council's and compliance laws encourage a pool pump enclosure be in place before
it's classed as complaint. In fact, Acoustic Box sound proof pool pump enclosures will
help you achieve compliance with your local council so that it can be classed as a 'noise-
free' pool pump.

What types of sound proof pump enclosures are
available and which one is best for you?

A ‘Standard’ enclosure means that it has a rear panel. A ‘backless’ enclosure does not
have a rear panel – but has 2 ‘wall strips’ and a ‘horizontal bridge’ ‘in lieu if the rear
panel. Pls click here for pictures

Backless enclosures are an alternative when the equipment is located within 50mm of a
wall. In such cases, The Acoustic Box offers a backless variant of each model, with most
of the back section (against the wall) free for equipment/pipes/electricals etc to be
located. Please note, backless enclosures add 50mm to the depth.

Backless boxes utilise 2 ‘wall strips’ which connect the enclosure to the wall, with a
‘horizontal bridge’ affixed to the top of the wall strips to ensure the system is fully
enclosed. The wall strips should be attached to the wall, and 3 locations are available
along the height of the wall strip to affix to the wall. The wall strips are 115mm wide (the
part that is affixed to the wall) and are located on each side of the box.
