JUNIORS What might be considered a
difficult academic year at
Maryknoll, the Class of 1991
balanced a heavy academic load with
fun-filled school and class activities.
The Junior class tackled the dread
ed Junior Research Paper project
after a semester of Advanced Writing
and Research. Working with assigned
faculty members on their projects
seemed to make the research and
writing process a lot easier.
With the project came other course
loads, but the Class of ’91 was able to
take part in other school and commu
nity activities to make Junior year an
enjoyable one. Members were in
volved in Field Day, Christmas Aloha,
the H.A.R.C. Party, Homecoming,
and the Junior-Senior Prom.
Highlighting the year was receiving
class rings in October at the Junior
Debut, and commencing Senior year
after Class Night ceremonies in May.

SOPHOMORES Class unity played a significant
part in the grooming of the Class
of 1992 during its Sophomore
year at Maryknoll. The class swung into
action in September by welcoming the
Freshmen into the Maryknoll family with
Acquaintance Week activities. It is a role
they enjoyed after going through the
same initiation process only a short year
ago.
They knew that the second year of
high school lay ahead with exciting ac
tivities, as well as challenging subjects in
Chemistry, Geometry, and U.S. History,
to name a few. The Sophomores found
that by using their time well, each could
maintain a balance between academics
and extra-curricular activities.
The Class of ’92 exhibited pride in
winning Field Day events in September,
and in May provided the Class of ’90
with the traditional Sophomore-Senior
Brunch following Baccalaureate ser
vices.

FRESHMEN Anew Freshman class, the Class of
1993, entered Maryknoll as de
termined newcomers into the
family with Freshman Camp in August at
Camp Erdman. Cautious, but excited
about a new beginning in high school,
each Frosh was welcomed by upper-
classmen and faculty during Acquaint
ance Week activities with initiation zani
ness, and Field Day competition against
other divisions in tug-of-war games. The
week ended with their first high school
dance in Rogers Hall.
New course loads kept the Class of
’93 pretty busy during the year, but they
were able to enjoy the other elements of
high school life by performing well in
their first Christmas Aloha, taking part in
Homecoming Week activities in January,
and saying Aloha to the Seniors in May
at the last school dance.

ADMINISTRATION,
FACULTY,
STAFF
A dedicated and loyal faculty, adminis
tration and staff spent the school year
instructing in remodeled classrooms
and offices finished over the past three sum
mers. These new surroundings enhanced the
hard work and influence passed on to students
during daily classes and after school activities.
Besides the regular teaching class load or
working in an office all day, many hours were
spent in conferences and meetings with stu
dents and parents during the course of the
year. Whether in the classroom teaching, ad
vising a club or committee, counseling a stu
dent, or coaching a team after school, the
faculty contributes to the Maryknoll motto
“Noblesse Oblige’’.
