What is a photograph?

A memory preserved through time, to remind you of
where you’ve been, and of how far you’ve come.

It’s heading toward the homeless shelter with
your class, living out the school’s motto - Nobl
and carrying out the legacy of the Maryknoll S

onto the basketball court with your teammates. No matter

what the final score is, you’ll never forget the adrenaline
rush/y^W^,

It’s you in front of your classmates, dressed up in

professional attire, with a confident smile on your face

because, after staying up all night, your project is finally

perfect. • ■ ->

It’s you and your friends, spontaneously snapped at lunch, as
you vied for the camera’s attention, making funny faces and
laughing.

It’s you at Mass in the Maryknoll Community Center,

somewhere in the middle of the crowd of students blended
together in a mix of uniforms and class aloha attire. You’re one
part of a whole because a photograph is not just a memory of
you and your accomplishments. Somewhere in that picture,
whether crowded around you or standing just outside of the
frame, there’s someone else.

A photograph is a reminder, no matter where you go, whether

it’s off to become a freshman at a college on the east coast or
into your sophomore year, finally not a freshman. There’s a
calabash family you can depend on. Maryknoll is four years of
not just creating memories, but creating lasting relationships, so
that you’ll look back in the photographs and see not only
yourself,"but the friend, the mentor, and the community, that’s
