Maryknoil journey started ov 80 years ago, on September 6, 1927, when ne Maryknoil Sisters opened
first grade school in Honolulu tl\t included 170 stu hts from grade., through six. Many students have

ked Maryknoll's halls since then a have seen t many changes around the campus which eventually

anded to two campuses that now enro students. Even though the small wooden school buildings

no longer exist, the teachings and principles of the Maryknoil sisters, priests, and brothers continue today. Our

Foundress, Mother Mary |q ogers, en spoke of the Maryknoil Spirit "as being a reflection of the love of

God, nothing more or le|^than that, a refle^^m of the love of God. " As a school, we continue the journey and

teachings of the MarykJ£)ll Sisters by emulatin^our school motto "Noblesse Oblige" — to whom much is given,

much is expected.

7t is the end of one jourirV in our lives, and the start of another. Seniors will be graduating and continuing their

longer path of life, a path tVt will separate many of us for the rest of our lives. The Juniors will begin their new

journey and challenges pf bei\g Seniors and role models to the underclassmen, as well as the anticipation of what

is in store beyond their Senion year.. The Freshmen and Sophomores will continue on their journey of education

and self-discovery but they c; in -be rest assured that they will be in good hands under the guidance of the
