As we go on, we remember, all the times we had together. And as our lives change, come whatever, we will still befriendsforever.

How do you quantify a year at Maryknoll School? What do we remember most? Is it the suspenseful moments
precluding a major exam? Is it the late-night cram sessions the night before an essay is due? Is it the butterflies, the skip
af your heartbeat when you realize you're in love? Is it the tearful moment of graduation, when you stand together with
/our class for the last time? As the 2005 school year comes to a close, as we prepare for summer vacation, as we prepare
or college, as we prepare for the coming school year, as we say our final good-byes, the memories of high school, the
nemories of our teenage years, and the memories of your lives, come into focus. These memories, these treasures, will
ilwavs remain dear with us, an everlasting reminder of our experience Inside 2005.

What do we remember most about the past school year? The city of Honolulu held its mayoral election, resulting in
i surprise, come-from-behind win for Mufi Hannemann, who was able to retain a razor-thin lead over opponent Duke
lainum. At the national level, President George W. Bush was re-elected for his second term of office, taking both the
popular and electoral college votes. In sports, the Boston Red Sox finally broke the "Curse of the Bambino" (Babe Ruth)
>y winning the 2004 World Series 4-0. January 2005 was cause for celebration as Maryknoll celebrated its tenth
inniversary as a member of the Coalition of Essential Schools. Events and celebrations will continue until January 2006.

At the closing of this school year, we stand as one. For the freshman class of 2008, congratulations, you've made it
hrough your first year of high school. For the sophomore class of 2007, remember to stand tall and proud, as you will
>e Maryknoll's new upperclassmen. For the junior class of 2006, take your place as the new seniors and represent your
livision and school with pride and dignity. For this year's graduating class of 2005, we now stand at the end of the long
oad to witness the completion of a journal that began four years ago. As one chapter in our lives comes to a close, another
s about to begin. Although we now leave our high school years behind, our memories of time spent together with
daryknoll's faculty and staff, our families, and our friends will always remain in our hearts. Our future on the horizon
s bright and clear, beckoning us. Let us move forward.
