in and the handprints you create. IDENTIFY YOUR­
SELF, with the styles of clothes you wear and the type
of music you listen to. IDENTIFY YOURSELF, with the
friends you have and the friends you make. IDENTIFY
YOURSELF, through knowledge instilled in you by a
teacher. IDENTIFY YOURSELF , here at Maryknoll.

Through Maryknoll we find our sense of belonging,
* and build a foundation for our newlyfound IDENTIFY.

Maryknoll has helped us to grow mentally, physically
and spiritually. To BE creative and original. To BE
intellectual and inspired. To BE energetic and healthy.
To BE generous and compassionate. To BE the best we
can be.

As we first enter Maryknoll as freshmen, there is an
excitement surging in all of us that we may never
forget. The first Monday morning assembly. exptgta
encing two-hour classes, three\ periods a day and i M
expectations set for us through the Essential SclnaH

system. Filled with aspiration and anxiety we attempt to IDENTIFY ourselves amongst one another.
As we begin our sophomore year, we create a new IDENTITY for ourself during our transition of a seccM

year at Maryknoll and prepare to become upperclassmen. During this time, we are more comfortable in <H
surroundings, and we begin to move outside of our circle of friends to become better acquainted with otlM
students, and faculty members. Sensing a change in responsibility, we begin to develop and mature so that H

may progress.
As juniors, we undertake the recognition and acceptance that accompanies our clasi rings and class Ald ha

wear. The opportunities of foreign cultural exchange trips, SAT's, jobs, and becomind future leaders present
themselves to us, and we recognize that we are ready to accept our new IDENTITY of I ncoming seniors, as j ell

as adults.
As seniors we can hardly fathom how we have come this far, sb soon. We attempt t _make the most of < ir

last year at Maryknoll, realizing that graduation is fast approaching and that we will inevitably have to let

of what we hold familiar, to be thrust out into a new world awaiting us, filled with st responsibilities.

In identifying ourselves we begin to identify with one another. With each new expet >re
