MARYKNOLL HIGH SCHOOL

Tribute ’92

Completion of the new Library and
Computer Center gives students and fac
ulty a state-of-the-art facility second to
none. After extensive remodeling, addi
tions, and campus landscaping, the first
five-year renovation process at the high
school is finished.

ercentages. SAT scores. Test
scores. Grade Point Averages.
As students of Maryknoll
High School, all these num
bers played a major role in our
academic studies. There were
other numbers that were just as important J— lockers and their
combinations, I.D. numbers, Social Security numbers, scores at
sports events, class dues, and dollars spent on Senior year alone.
But the number that plays a featured role in any student’s life is
the year of graduation. For all the classes, but especially the
Class of 1992, the 1991-92 school year formed lasting memories,
instilled plans for the future, and initiated wonderful dreams.

The 1991-92 school year
was MORE THAN JUST
A NUMBER! To outsiders,
the year at Maryknoll may
seem like a typical, normal
one in the continuous, non
ending cycle of teen-age
education, but WE lived
through this year. This was
OUR time, OUR life with
all of its new challenges, fa
miliar friends, different
faces, full course loads,
bruising athletics, club ac
tivities, school dances and
social calendars highlighted
with future happenings.

— Della Au, ’92

teraction ot students and

room and community, but in
school events as well. Annu

new faculty members to the
Maryknoll community in

e Make

Difference

eyond the micro
cosm of Maryknoll,
we witnessed and
were made aware of
the dynamic forces
that influence the world around us — political, eco
nomic, and international forces that make this year’s
events more than just words and pages in future histo
ry books. More importantly, WE, as students and
faculty have realized and learned that we can affect
these forces. WE CAN be more than just bodies and
numbers. WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Indeed, one of the most valuable lessons taught at
Maryknoll is the lesson of ACTION and BEING
INVOLVED. The 1991-1992 school year was defi
nitely a YEAR OF ACTION! All of one’s high school
years should be treated and remembered in this way
... as YEARS that were MORE THAN JUST
NUMBERS!
