MODERN technology used in careers

MODERN technology used in careers

By: Kevin ubera

Geologists often use ground radar-based imaging technology to get a
better picture of what might be beneath their feet, and cameras to get
a sample picture of their sites and specimens.

 Body cameras, in-vehicle computers, license plate readers, facial recognition
technologies, and even mobile consoles for fingerprint reading, are among the
tools used in this career.

 They use modern technology by advertising them by email, or social media.

 They use Smart Board/Projectors to demonstrate a lesson on how to do the
assignment.

 Modern auto mechanics use a variety of electronic diagnostic equipment to help
them determine the exact cause of a problem. Most of these diagnostic devices are
hand-held or portable on wheels.

 Mechanics compare the data produced by the diagnostic equipment to the
standards provided by the manufacturer.

 This enables mechanics to accurately diagnose problems based on the latest
information downloaded from manufacturer databases.

 There are to be included portable suction equipment, big valve masks (for
children, infants and adults), oropharyngeal or nasopharyngeal airways of various
sizes, oxygen kit with regulator, nasal cannulas, traction splint with the right
accessories, cervical collars, large trauma dressings, sterile gauze pads etc., sterile
burn sheet, splints for upper and lower extremity injuries, head immobilizers, rolls
of tape of various measures, some necessary kits, a liter each of potable water and
saline for irrigation.

 Security guard technology has evolved to include mobile devices, cloud software, drones,
cameras, integrated biometric access control systems, and continues to evolve with the first
versions of robot-guards.

 By far the biggest change has been the impact of smartphones.
 Where as they were once looked upon as phone first or as a distraction device, this impression

has fast been replaced by smartphones being used to perform key job related tasks.
 In the security guard industry tasks such as scheduling, clocking in and out of shifts, and being

alerted to and finding replacements for staff who fail to show up are just some of the things being
performed on mobile devices.
 Add to that, smartphones are also being used to assist in operational tasks such as creating
reports, verifying patrol points (guard tours), viewing site information, capturing site evidence
and so much more.
 All of these tasks are being performed in real-time driving the need for this information to also be
available to supervisors so they can manage employees as well as stay up to date on what is
happening at customer sites.

Virtual reality (VR) creates an interactive, immersive, computer-generated world that
allows you to experience something that isn’t physically there. This technology has
been used for entertainment, training, tours, and now physical therapy.
Telemedicine has been an important development for the health care industry. With
the ability to access care on demand, patients are more likely to see a doctor when
they need to, and there’s a higher likelihood that patients will complete their
treatment plans. Thanks to tele-rehabilitation services, these benefits are also found
with physical therapy.

 They use technology by using smart helmets that are geared specifically to monitor
and reduce head injuries and concussions.

 Instant replays are used in most sports and they are only becoming more prevalent.

 A landscape architect might employ a variety of equipment to create a design.
Digital cameras, camcorders and video cameras can be used to record images of
the terrain. The landscape architect can then analyze the setting to see which areas
receive full or partial sunlight and which areas remain in shade.
