KATA PENGANTAR
Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Rendah (KSSR) yang dilaksanakan secara berperingkat mulai tahun 2011 telah disemak semula bagi memenuhi
dasar baharu di bawah Pelan Pembangunan Pendidikan Malaysia (PPPM) 2013-2025 supaya kualiti kurikulum yang dilaksanakan di sekolah
rendah setanding dengan standard antarabangsa. Kurikulum berasaskan standard yang menjadi amalan antarabangsa telah dijelmakan dalam
KSSR menerusi penggubalan Dokumen Standard Kurikulum dan Pentaksiran (DSKP) untuk semua mata pelajaran yang mengandungi Standard
Kandungan, Standard Pembelajaran dan Standard Pentaksiran.
Usaha memasukkan Standard Pentaksiran di dalam dokumen kurikulum telah mengubah landskap sejarah sejak Kurikulum Kebangsaan
dilaksanakan di bawah Sistem Pendidikan Kebangsaan. Menerusinya murid dapat ditaksir secara berterusan untuk mengenalpasti tahap
penguasaannya dalam sesuatu mata pelajaran, serta membolehkan guru membuat tindakan susulan bagi mempertingkatkan pencapaian
murid.
DSKP yang dihasilkan juga telah menyepadukan enam tunjang Kerangka KSSR, mengintegrasikan pengetahuan, kemahiran dan nilai, serta
memasukkan secara eksplisit Kemahiran Abad Ke-21 dan Kemahiran Berfikir Aras Tinggi (KBAT). Penyepaduan tersebut dilakukan untuk
melahirkan insan seimbang dan harmonis dari segi intelek, rohani, emosi dan jasmani sebagaimana tuntutan Falsafah Pendidikan Kebangsaan.
Bagi menjayakan pelaksanaan KSSR, pengajaran dan pembelajaran guru perlu memberi penekanan kepada KBAT dengan memberi fokus
kepada pendekatan Pembelajaran Berasaskan Inkuiri dan Pembelajaran Berasaskan Projek, supaya murid dapat menguasai kemahiran yang
diperlukan dalam abad ke-21.
Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia merakamkan setinggi-tinggi penghargaan dan ucapan terima kasih kepada semua pihak yang terlibat dalam
penggubalan KSSR. Semoga pelaksanaan KSSR akan mencapai hasrat dan matlamat Sistem Pendidikan Kebangsaan.

Pupils are able to:
6.1 Parts of plants.
6.1.1 Compare and contrast parts of
plant i.e.:
(i) leaf: types of vein;
(ii) flower: flowering, non-flowering;
(iii) stem: woody, non-woody; and
(iv) root: tap root, fibre root.
SKILLS :
At the end of lesson, students will :

PROJECT OBJECTIVES :
At the end of lesson, students will :
1. Students will contrast and compare at least 2 of 3 plants has the same and
different characteristics such type of veins, type of root, type of stem, flowering
and non-flowering and fruiting and non-fruiting plant from the activity.

PHASE EXPLANATION
Acknowledgment of Discipline (STUDENT) Plants – Characteristics of different types of plants.
Project Description
This is an individual Science project title “My Plant” assign for year 1 students during this
Project Implementation MCO time. This project is about research on characteristics of different plants around
students living place. Students request to choose any of two different plants and do
comparison on its characteristics such types of leaves, types of root, flowering or non-
flowering and so on. From here, students able to compare and describe the plants
characteristics and also develop students’ understand level about plants characteristics.
Because of this is an individual project, students building up self confidence during their
presentation.
1. Before start the activity teacher have a class in Google meet to explain and discuss
about the learning standard.
2. Teacher post video relevant to learning standard to all students in Google
Classroom.
3. Teacher mention about the Science Mini Activity “My Plant” in Class WhatsApp
group.
4. Teacher post the paperwork of the activity in WhatsApp group and Google
Classroom.
5. Students may download or open the document and read through.
6. Students carried out the activity based on the given instruction by teacher.
7. Students will be given two weeks to complete the mini activity.
8. Student’s work will submit in video format because easy for teacher to evaluate their
understanding level the lesson learned.
PHASE EXPLANATION
Reporting and Presentation Every students request to submit their presentation in video format and report in chart
format. Students describe about the similarities and differences identify in both plants
Evaluation and Assessment had chose. Students draw the plants and write the similarities and differences of the
plants in the chart. They may do creatively to achieve more score. Here, develop
students’ speaking skill and creativity skill.
Teacher evaluate students work based on predefined elements such precise idea,
contents, presentation and fluency. Students update their project work day by day from
starting to ending.
