Frequently Asked Questions

Am I required to have a meal plan?
Resident students are required to have a resident meal plan. This is common practice in higher
education housing as proper nutrition is important for success in the classroom. Appeals may be
made in the case of extreme food allergy situations. Contact Mike Adams, the Director of Campus Dining, at
[email protected] for more information. Commuter students are not required to have a meal plan.

Do I already have a meal plan?
Resident students are defaulted into the 19 Meals Per Week, Plus $25 Dining Dollars plan. It is up to
the student to contact the office of Campus Dining to change their meal plan. Commuter students
are not defaulted into a meal plan.

Why are the resident plans “meals per week”?
A meals per week plan ensures that resident students will always have meals available throughout
the semester. Meals reset each week, with Saturday being the first day of the meal week.

How do I change my meal plan?
Resident students: Contact Mike Adams ([email protected]) to change your meal plan. Any Dining Dollars
spent before a plan change will be deducted from the new plan total. Use your Life Pacific email, include your
student ID number, and indicate that you would like to switch to the 16 meals per week plan.
Commuter students: Contact Becky Huyck ([email protected]) in Student Accounts to add a
meal plan. Use your Life Pacific email, include your student ID number, and indicate which plan you would like.

How much do the meal plans cost?
The resident meal plans cost the same, but provide the student the ability to choose where they want
to spend their money. Contact Becky Huyck in Student Accounts for commuter plan pricing.

How long do I have to change my meal plan?
The last day for residents to change their meal plan is September 7th. Commuters can add a meal plan at any
point throughout the semester.
