TENTANG PENULIS

Ir. Ingrid S. Surono. M.Sc., Ph.D, lahir
di Tegal 7 Februari 1957. Menyelesaikan
studi S1 di bidang Teknologi Hasil
Pertanian IPB tahun 1980, M.Sc di
bidang proses pengolahan Pangan di
Asian Institute of Technology (AIT),
Bangkok Thailand pada 1984, dan
memperoleh PhD di bidang Dairy
Microbiology and Functional Foods di
United Graduate School Gifu University
Jepang, tahun 1996. Tahun 2004-2006,
mendapat kesempatan Post Doctoral di Functional Foods Forum,
University of Turku, Finland. Di Bidang Riset, meraih penghargaan
Science and Technology Award 2011, Toray Foundation, dan tahun 2012
Ten best RISTEK KALBE Science Award. Tahun 2010, mendapat
penghargaan oral presenter ketiga terbaik, pada XXXII International
Congress on Microbial Ecology in Health and Disease, di Athena, Yunani
dan tahun 2011 penghargaan yang sama pada FASEB Summer Research
Conference di Carefree, Arizona, USA. Penulis telah meneliti probiotik
selama 24 tahun, dan telah mempublikasikan 6 buku mengenai Mengkudu,
Probiotik, Nutrition in Food Industry, Riset dan Pengembangan Produk
Baru, Bahaya dan Risiko pada produk Pangan, dan Pengantar Keamanan
pangan untuk Industri Pangan, menulis 3 chapter di Encyclopedia of Dairy
Science, 2011. Elsevier, dan menulis 2 chapter buku yang diterbitkan oleh
CRC pada tahun 2015 dan Taylor Francis, 2016. Saat ini sebagai Ketua
Departemen Teknologi Pangan di Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Bina
Nusantara dan Ketua Indonesian Scientific Society for Probiotics and
Prebiotics (ISSPP), sejak 2010 hingga saat ini.
