More on MS Paint
Answer the following questions:
1. Write the steps to draw pentagon in Paint.
Ans. Step 1- Click on the Polygon tool in the shapes
group.
Step 2- Select a colour from the colour group.
Step 3- Click on the Drawing area and drag the
pointer to draw a straight line.
Step 4- Release Mouse button.
Step 5- Move the mouse and click on any point in
the Drawing area.
Step 6- Repeat the above step to draw as many line
as you want for your polygon.
Step 7- Connect the last line to the first line by
clicking on the starting point.
2. How many colour boxes are present in Paint?
Which colour is used for which purpose?
Ans. There are two colour boxes present in Paint.
Colour 1 is used as outline colour and colour 2 is
used for the inside colour.
3. How is the Rectangular selection different from
Free-Form selection?
Ans. Rectangular selection is used to select a square
or rectangular part of the picture. Free-Form
selection is used to select an irregular part of
picture.
4. Name any five parts of the Paint window and
define them.
Ans. Drawing: It is the blank area where you can
draw and paint.
Ribbon: It contains different groups and each group
contains different tools.
Minimize button: It allows to minimize the Paint
window.
Maximize button: It allows to maximize the Paint
window.
Close button: It allows to close the Paint program.
5. How is Rotate 180° different from Flip horizontal?
Ans. Rotate 180°means to move picture or a
portion of it upside down or left to right. Flip
horizontal is different it gives the mirror image of a
drawing.
