a. Nouns and Adjectives
As you know, noun is a thing, a place, or a person, an animal, while adjective is a word that
describes a noun. An adjective that describes a noun is called a modifier. A noun that goes with a
modifier is called a noun phrase. Noun phrases consist of a head noun that is described by one or
more adjectives before that. Observe where the position of the modifier is.
For example:

If we want to give more information, we can add more modifiers to the thing (noun) we describe.
For instance, in addition to the opinion adjectives, we can also inform the size, and the color,
the age, and nationality of the thing (noun).
Observe the following examples. Pay attention to the order of the modifiers. Where is the
position of the opinion adjectives?
Example:
A beautiful old tree → opinion age noun
A beautiful reddish leaf → opinion color noun
A beautiful Indonesian island → opinion nationality noun
The following is the common word order of adjectives before a noun.

b. Passive Voice
Active voice (kalimat aktif) is used when we want to say that the subject does an action. So, the
subject is the doer.
S + verb1 + object + … artinya me-
Chia gives us a special present (Chia memberi kami hadiahkhusus)
Passive Voice (kalimat pasif) is used when we want to say that the subject is not the doer but
receives an action.
S (object in active voice) + be + past participle/verb3 + by (of, in..artinya di-/ ter-)
A special present is given to us by Chia (sebuah hadiah khusus diberikan Chia kepada kami)

Kiluan Bay is located in Kiluan Village in the District of Tanggamus in Lampung
Province. This is the place where you can see the herds of wild dolphins diving freely beneath
the crystal sea, coupled with sandy white beaches against a backdrop of a clear blue sky are key
elements representing the unabridged of it’s natural beauty.
Sea Turtles can also be seen gliding beneath the surface of the water. As a testing ground
for turtles, depending on the time of year, visitors can observe the turtles climbing the beach at
night to lay their eggs, or watch as the tiny hatchlings make the journey back to the ocean.
Famous for their tropical charm, most beaches in Lampung region have for now managed
to retain their natural beauty. Soft white sands followed by sparkling turquoise waters, and
though coral isn’t on the list of Kiluan’s delights, you will find that it’s underwater park is still
abundant in marine life. Swimming and snorkeling can be done just off the shore, or simply relax
on the beach, enjoying the fresh air and tranquil surroundings with friends and family.
The closest Airport is the Raden Inten II Airport in the city of Bandar Lampung. This is a
domestic only airport, serving Jakarta, Bandung and Batam flights. Kiluan Bay is located about
80 KM from the city of Bandar Lampung. Getting to Kiluan will take approximately 3-4 hours
across winding and hilly trails.
