Spinderella Oval Crochet Rug

Makes 1 rug approximately 23” by 46” oval

Materials:
1 bump - Spinderella’s Rug Yarn
Crochet hook Q or larger

SC= single crochet.

Directions:

There is no gauge, but you MUST use an extremely LOOSE hand while working with
this yarn. Too tight and you will have a hard time and the rug will not lie flat. Err on the
side of really loose. Use a larger hook if needed.

Chain 20

Round 1 –
 3 SC in 2nd stitch from hook, placing a marker in the 2nd SC in cluster, 1 SC in
each of next 18 stitches, 3 SC in last chain stitch placing a marker in the 2nd SC in
cluster. Work other side of the chain with 1 SC in each of the next 18 stitches. Do
not join.

Round 2 –
 Work 1 SC in each SC in row below, and work 2 SC in each of the 3 center
cluster stitches, adding 3 stitches to each end. You will have 6 stitches in the end
cluster of each edge of the rug. ( you will have 2 sides with 18 stitches per side )

Round 3 –
 Work 1 SC in each SC in row below, and work 2 SC in each of the 6 center
cluster stitches. ( you will have 2 sides with 18 stitches per side )

Round 4 –
 Work 1 SC in each SC in row below, and work 2 SC in each of the 3 center
cluster stitches.

Round 5 –
 Counting back 4 stitches from the center stitch of the end –( you placed a marker
in that stitch), 2SC in that stitch, SC in the next 5 stitches, 2 SC in the next stitch,
SC to the other side of the rug, stopping 4 stitches from the center stitch and make
2 SC in that stitch, SC in the next 5 stitches, 2 SC in the next stitch and SC to
beginning.

Round 6 –
 Counting back 7 stitches from the center stitch of the end – (you placed a marker
in that stitch), 2SC in that stitch, SC in the next 5 stitches, 2 SC in the next 3
stitch, SC in the next 5 stitches, 2 SC in next stitch.
 SC to the other side of the rug, stopping 7 stitches from the center stitch of the end
– (you placed a marker in that stitch), 2SC in that stitch, SC in the next 5 stitches,
2 SC in the next 3 stitch, SC in the next 5 stitches, 2 SC in next stitch, SC to
beginning

Round 7 –
 Counting back 7 stitches from the center stitch of the end – (you placed a marker
in that stitch), 2SC in that stitch, SC in the next 5 stitches, 2 SC in the next 3
stitch, SC in the next 5 stitches, 2 SC in next stitch.
 SC to the other side of the rug, stopping 7 stitches from the center stitch of the end
– (you placed a marker in that stitch), 2SC in that stitch, SC in the next 5 stitches,
2 SC in the next 3 stitch, SC in the next 5 stitches, 2 SC in next stitch, SC to
beginning

Round 8 –
 SC in each stitch until yarn is finished, End by weaving in ends. Handwash and
block flat to dry.
