In advance of President and CEO Denny Reagan’s
December retirement, and to honor his incredible
legacy, we are proud to announce the:

too much different than his first role cleaning up
the theatre every morning after a show.

As a picker, I made sure the theatre was
ready for the next audience. My title may
have changed over the last 53 years, but
I’m still just trying to make sure we’re
ready for the next audience.

DENNY REAGAN

Education and Community Outreach Production Enhancement

Endowment gifts are invested in perpetuity—meaning, the fund’s principal is maintained
(and hopefully grows) while just a portion of its proceeds are used each year to make sure
The Muny is thriving for decades to come. The Muny Endowment was vital during the
uncertainty of the last 18 months.
Whether you support the new Denny Reagan Endowed Fund, name a fund of your own or give
to an area of The Muny that you particularly enjoy, one gift to The Muny Endowment creates
endless possibilities!

Second Century Campaign Helps Deliver Recent Renovations

B ackstage Support Spaces and Administrative Offices
Built in the late 40s, The Muny’s backstage support
spaces and administrative offices had never undergone
a major renovation until now. Areas that have recently
been renovated include the costume shop, production
and general offices, rehearsal spaces, craft and scenic
stitcher rooms, painter and carpenter areas, and the
Emerson Artists’ Building which houses dressing
rooms, the wig shop, hair and makeup departments and
wardrobe maintenance.
Located just left of the box office, the entryway to The
Muny’s administrative offices has undergone a complete
makeover. Now featuring an accessible, atrium-style
façade, complete with an elevator, this newly renovated
space provides a welcoming “front door” for The Muny.

Broadhurst Pavilion
One of two outdoor rehearsal
platforms at The Muny, this
newly renovated space features
enhanced lighting, large-scale
fans, a new dance floor with an
operational turntable (a first in
North America), landscaping
and updates to the prop storage
warehouse located directly beneath
the pavilion. The pavilion not only
acts as a rehearsal space, but also
as a performance stage for The
Muny Kids and Teens and private
preshow events. Renovations to
the Broadhurst Pavilion, formerly
known as the West Platform, were made possible with help from Barbara and Andrew Taylor in honor of
their great-niece, Muny Kid and Teen alumnae, Allison Broadhurst.

Purina Plaza
Nestled in the northwest corner of
the Muny campus, Purina Plaza,
formerly known as the West Lawn,
features a brand new performance
stage to showcase local talent,
art installations, versatile photo
opportunities, game areas and lush
landscaping. This plaza serves as a
dynamic, community-focused preshow
space where patrons can gather for
meals, entertainment and recreation
through the season. Renovations to the
Purina Plaza were made possible with
the help of Nestlé Purina PetCare.

Stage Shells
Bookending the heart of The Muny, newly
installed decorative shells complete
the three-year renovation of the James
S. McDonnell stage. At 50-feet tall and
150,000 pounds, these shells echo
the historical art deco architecture The
Muny is known for while offering a modern
flair. The stage renovations, including
the architectural shells and the state-of-
the-art technology you experienced in 2019,
were made possible by Mr. & Mrs. James S.
McDonnell III and the JSM Charitable Trust.

We are still raising funds to meet our $100 million Second Century Capital Campaign goal. Your gift will
assist with our capital improvements and increase The Muny’s endowment to protect our investment,
grow our education and outreach programs, enhance our productions and ensure our sustainability well
into the next century.

To get involved, please contact [email protected].

Capital Campaign

During our unprecedented intermission
in 2020, capital improvements

including renovations to our
administration and artists’ buildings,
and the newly-named Broadhurst
Pavilion and Purina Plaza.
In this final year of the Second Century
Campaign, please consider joining this
impressive list of generous donors.
Your gift will help pay for our capital
improvements and increase the
endowment to protect our investment,
grow our education and outreach
programs, enhance our productions and
ensure our sustainability.

MATCHING GIFT COMPANIES

Many St. Louis employers match gifts their employees or retirees make to arts institutions. These
companies have matched gifts this year, so donors receive Muny Partner benefits at a higher level.
Contact your own Human Resources department to see if your employer can match your gift and get
the process started – we’ll take it from there!

THANK YOU
In consideration of your fellow patrons, please TURN OFF ALL ELECTRONIC DEVICES.
SMOKING IS PROHIBITED IN ALL AREAS INSIDE THE THEATRE GATES AT ALL TIMES

(including, but not limited to, all smoking tobacco, e-cigarettes and vaporizers).

PERFORMANCE TIMES
All performances begin promptly at 8:15 pm. For the enjoyment of all and in consideration of the performers,
please arrive on time and remain in your seats until the performance has ended. The regular 8:15 pm starting
time may be delayed by weather or other reasons, but this does not mean a performance will be cancelled.

TICKET DONATION
We hope this never happens, but if you are unable to use your tickets, return them to The Muny Box Office at least
24 hours prior to the date printed on the tickets. A donation receipt reflecting the ticket value will be issued for
tax purposes.

CANCELLATION POLICY
The start time may be delayed or the performance may be interrupted due to inclement weather or other reasons.
If a performance is cancelled before one hour of playing time has elapsed, including scheduled intermissions,
your ticket will serve as your rain check. Rain checks may be redeemed for a ticket of the same value for any
performance in the same season, or for a refund of the ticket price. If a performance is given after a delayed
start or resumes after an interruption, rain checks are not valid and may not be exchanged or refunded. We will
make every effort to present the performance, and typically will not cancel the performance before 9:30 pm. A
delayed start time or the length of an interruption in the performance will be determined by theatre management
on a per case basis. Notice of delays or cancellations will be made over the theatre public address system
and will also be posted on The Muny’s social media and on muny.org. In the case of a cancelled performance,
beginning the following day, rain checks may be exchanged at The Muny Box Office for a ticket of the same value
for any remaining performance of the same season subject to availability. Rain checks also may be redeemed for
a full refund of the ticket price or donated back to The Muny. A refund will be issued to the purchaser on record
with The Muny. A donation receipt reflecting the rain check value will be issued for tax purposes. Rain checks
must be redeemed by September 30, 2021 either in person or by mail to The Muny Box Office. Only actual, legible
tickets, in their original form will be accepted as rain checks.
