Greetings of prosperity and unity to all STU members.

On behalf of the central committee and the division
committees throughout Sarawak, I express my highest
appreciation to every member for supporting the
leadership of the Sarawak Teachers' Union (STU) for
the 2022/2024 term.

As members, STU belongs to all of us, so we should ( KULLIN ANAK DJAYANG )
all be responsible with this union. Even though I am President,
the president, I am only the steward of this union and
will work together with every member in all matters, Sarawak Teachers’ Union
so that STU will continue to stand proudly as a union 2022 - 2024
that is always ready to serve and take care of the
welfare of all its members. Despite our roles in the
union being voluntary, we are ever ready to face any
challenge so that STU remains relevant as the best
union in Sarawak and also Malaysia.

With the solid backing of every member, the voice of
STU will become ever louder and more effective in
raising awareness on and resolving welfare issues for
everyone. Therefore, each of us has the right to speak
up on issues related to the teaching profession and
our common welfare within the union.

I am aware that STU members are in every corner of the state of Sarawak, be it in primary schools,
secondary schools, PPDs, or JPN. Regardless of where you are, the executive committee and I will do
our best to manage this union well and bring forward the suggestions, difficulties, and proposals of
all of our members. All of your issues and suggestions will be taken seriously and brought to the
attention of the relevant parties and authorities.

Nonetheless, I hope that everyone will understand if the ministry or the government finds it
difficult to fulfil each and every one of our wishes and suggestions due to unavoidable constraints or
difficulties. However, we will not relent in championing pertinent issues and ensuring it is given due
attention by those responsible.

Brothers and sisters, all good things are from God, while all weaknesses are from human beings. I
apologise for any shortcomings while we are at the helm. To the younger generation, prepare and
learn to be leaders as you shall receive the baton of leadership in the near future.
