You are very welcome to our Race Night. We wish to thank Brendan McCormack,
proprietor of The Balrothery Inn, for making his premises available to us tonight.
We also wish to thank all those members and supporters who, once again,
showed their willingness to do their bit in organising tonight’s event.
Tonight’s fun would not have been possible without the generous support of our
sponsors and advertisers and I urge you to support them in return.
Finally, thank you for your continued support and we hope you have a very en-
joyable night.

HOW TO PLAY CINEMA RACES

1. Every Cinema Race is an authentic motion picture of an official
horse race, run on a licensed track

2. Your race night indicates the number of events to be run, as
well as the number of horses in each event.

3. Names of all horses, in relation to races are, of course, ficti-
tious.

4. Members of our audience will be invited to select each race
shown, until that moment it is kept in a sealed container. There-
fore no one could possibly know in advance which race could be
shown or which horse will win.

5. Immediately after the finish of each race, the official order of
the finish will be posted.

6. In the event of a film breaking during the race it will be re-
threaded from the point of the break and shown to the end.

7. Tote tickets for sale before all races in units of €1 (no limit) and
pay out on winner only.

8. The committee’s decision on matters pertaining to the Race
Night is final.
