Sabins and the Chipmunk

u already know

Chapter one: A New Job

It all started when Mr. Sullivan was hired as a vice principal at Mira Mesa High school. As
the office ladies introduced themselves to him, Mr. Sabins-curious about the situation-went
over.

"Hey kid," Sabins said sharply "shouldn't you be in class right now?"
Knowing that his lanky stature made him look very young, Sullivan turned to Sabins,
exposing his chipmunk-like face to him for the first time
"Actually, I'm the new vice principal" Sullivan said, with a sense of shyness in his voice.
Although he was a bit stunned by this revelation, Sabins greeted his new colleague and
gave him a briefing of what to expect in this new position. For some reason he found the
timid, rodent-like aura in the room distracting, intriguing even.
"That's pretty much everything you need to know" Sabins concluded, he then gestured to
the empty office "and here's your office, I'm right next door if you need anything"
"Sounds good to me" Sullivan smiled, enthusiastic about his new job.

Chapter 2: DODGEBALL!

Over the course of the next few months, the staff and students became very inclusive of Mr.
Sullivan. Although Sabins was glad that his colleague was now truly a part of Mira Mesa
high school, he begun to get jealous of Sullivan's popularity among the students. Soon
enough, the students openly preferred Sullivan. They said hi to him more often, found him
more approachable, which made him the first choice to be on skits on Marauder 5. Sabins
didn't mind this at first, but his dominance as the best principal was threatened by one skit
in particular; the dodgeball skit.

"So this skit is going to help advertise the dodgeball game this year," the student explained,
“and we're going to need both of you in it"

Sabins, knowing that this is a chance to redeem his popularity among students, and
therefore his position as the supreme vice principal, anticipated what was to come.
The student proceeded to reveal the plot of the skit, Sullivan was to throw a ball in Sabin's
face and yell "Dodgeball" at the camera.

Somewhat disapproving of the idea, Sabins chimed to the student "Isn't it bad to suggest
that dodgeball is violent?" although he felt confident about his comment, he got an instant
reply from none other than the vermin.
"Don't be so serious!" Sullivan said playfully as he nudged Sabins with his elbow. Although
he tried to appear calm, Sabins felt a strange rush. Was it shock? Was it pain? Or was it
something else completely, triggered by his touch? Since he did not want to disappoint the
student, he went through with it.
He stood in front of the iconic blue backdrop, microphone in hand and recited the script
given to him, bracing for what would come next.

Thud. Sullivan's throw was a lot weaker than he expected.

Sullivan jumped in front of the camera, yelling on cue as planned. During this time, he
reflected upon himself, realizing that this degrading moment has been immortalized
through the camera, his shame forever embedded in a video which could be replayed for
eternity.

Not too long after this, the skit aired on Maurader 5. Sabins watched the office ladies react
to it, giggling at the sight. With this, he begun to imagine the reaction of the students. They
must have been doubled over laughing; he was humiliated.
Not only this, they kept replaying this clip for days after the initial airing, often in slow
motion, which further prolonged his moment of shame. He just couldn't take it anymore,
the day of the game, he confronted Sullivan.

"You're ready for the game later today right? You better be. You should be scared." Sabins
said in a serious tone "I'm not going to hold back, I know no mercy."

"Chill out!" Sullivan said with a quiver, his eyes looking up to his supposed superior "I-It's
just a bit so the students get hyped for the game,"
In this moment, Sabins realized how much Sullivan looked like prey to him. Scared and
exposed, he knew how much he was in control.
"Are you sure about that?" Sabins replied with a confident smirk, he said before walking
away.
Sullivan was left there, heart beating fast. He couldn't explain it, but he found the
interaction enthralling, yet terrifying. The latter came over him, he didn't show up to the
game later that day, afterwards claiming it was because of a family emergency.

It was now clear who was in control.

Chapter 3: Rehearsal

After this incident, the two rarely interacted with each other. In a way, it made the
interactions they did have all the more tantalizing. Sabins could come into Sullivan's office
at any time, slamming a stack of papers on his desk amidst the silence, with that grin on his
face. It was that grin that made Sullivan feel so helpless around Sabins. Neither could
control the rush of emotions in these brief interactions that were the highlight of their
jobs. Sure, they were both married, but this was something else. It wasn't a relationship of
love, it was one of ferocious beast and meek chipmunk.
Staff knew nothing about this, they were very discreet. Naturally, students had no clue and
continued to seek their participation.

Nathan Alexander Taylor, co-captain of the improv team, inquired as to which staff would
participate in the first annual Student Vs. Staff improv tournament. Both Sabins and
Sullivan were at the top of the list. They both agreed, not knowing the other was going to be
there.
The staff needed to practice the games that were going to be played ahead of time, so a
practice date was set before the event. All arrived on time, but at the sight of Sabins,
Sullivan was hesitant to enter. He watched the rest of the staff enter the theatre, only to see
Sabins wink at him

"Oh god" Sullivan thought, his heart racing like so many other times before. It took him a
few minutes, but he finally clenched his fists and walked inside. The students and the rest
of the staff didn't think much of this, but Sabins knew he still had his little chipmunk under
control.

Despite being overwhelmed with his predator's presence, Sullivan managed to learn the
rules of the games, even if he was stuttered and got flustered when his name was
mentioned.

"You know what would be funny?" Sabins said, confident in his proposal to everyone
listening "If I picked up Sullivan during one of the games" he chuckled, knowing that the
idea wasn't beyond the realm of acceptance for those around him, it was supposed to be a
comedy show, after all. The reactions, varying from 'ha' to 'oh my god' to 'yes' were all the
confirmation needed for Sabins to exact his revenge from the degradation from the year
before. Best of all, Sullivan couldn't escape the plan, since Sabins was much stronger, which
is the way they both liked it.

After various nights of each fantasizing about their primal needs, the day finally arrived.

Chapter 4: Tag Line

The big night. Sullivan was anxious. 'Will he really do it?' The question swirled around in
his mind while everyone was warming up. 6:00... time to go on stage.

The audience's laughter didn't help Sullivan's nerves. As the games went on, he waited on
the sideline, waiting to be picked. Unsurprisingly, Sabins was the captain of the staff team.
He got to choose who went up when and what they would play.

The show's referee asked Sabins what game his team would play. Calmly, he replied "My
Movie".

He made a friendly gesture towards Sullivan to come up to the middle of the stage. That is,
it appeared to be friendly. In reality, his sharp eye contact startled Sullivan, because they
both knew exactly what would happen next.

As the referee explained the game, Sullivan felt the hot lights beam on him. Were they hot?
Or was it just the anticipation trying to fool him?

Either way, it was overwhelming. The game proceeded. The referee pointed to him, all of
the pressure made him stutter something about aardvarks, but the referee took it as a
movie title anyways.
"Tag line?" The referee followed up, putting Sullivan on the spot, all eyes on him.
He paused until he could finally manage to say "In a world whe--"

Sabins had chosen this opportunity to pick him up, letting out a faint grunt as he did so. Not
because Sullivan was heavy, on the contrary, he was very light, but he did so to assert his
dominance over the field animal. As he did so, Sullivan gasped lightly, trying to mask his
fear over being captured. While being carried off of the stage, the audience roared with
excitement. Sabins had successfully doled out the revenge. After placing Sullivan down, he
simply went on with the show, despite knowing how shook he left his creature.

On the sidelines, Sullivan felt his heart pounding out of his chest, trying to catch his breath
while trying to process everything that had occurred. He wanted to say something, that he
was scared, excited, enjoying it? But couldn't tell Sabins in front of everyone.

After the tournament ended, he began walking out, thinking it was over, only to encounter
Sabins again. He opened his mouth to speak, only to be interrupted by Sabins,
"Hush my chipmunk, no need to squeak" , he said softly before walking away into the night,
letting his prey roam for another day.
