MIKROTIK
ACADEMY

MJII is the only Mikrotik Academy among
MARA institutions offering network system
courses using Mikrotik equipment
(RouterBOARD) in teaching and learning.

It has become a significant technology
and academic course development for
MJII, in accordance with the objectives of
MARA and government in developing skilled
worker and human resources in Science,
technology, engineering and mathematics
(STEM).

The MJII's Mikrotik Academy is set up for
networking specialization covering two (2)
courses:

Basic Networking
Advanced Networking

BASIC NETWORKING

This course will introduced students to the
basic architecture of communication network,
element of OSI Layer, TCP/IP, and the network
devices.

Student will be introduced to of static
routing concept and dynamic routing, Bridging,
Wireless LAN. They will be guided to perform
experiment and follow basic solve the
problematic network configuration. Topic
cover:

Internet Topology
Network Management
Routing
Bridging
Wireless LAN

ADVANCED NETWORKING

This course will introduced students to the
network address translation and its
implementation in real network and explain of
packet queuing, understanding of packet flow
and filtering in Router OS, Hotspot and proxy
implementation.

They will be guided to perform experiment
and follow advanced solve the problematic
network configuration. Topics to be covered:

Internet Security
Network Address Translation (NAT)
Quality of Services
Hotspot
Web Proxy
Tunnels (VPN)
