OBJECTIVE 01 02 03 02 Enable institutions to conduct self-assessments to identify gaps and monitor the effectiveness of biosecurity measures in their respective institutions Enable participants to plan for risk reduction and mitigation measures as a preventive step for biosecurity risks Participants who successfully complete the training program will be appointed as trainers for future programs, subsequently conducting training at their respective premises. Advanced Biorisk Programme INTRODUCTION The Science and Technology Research Institute for Defence (STRIDE), Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with the United States Defense Threat Reduction Agency (US DTRA), will organise the Advanced Biorisk Programme: Laboratory Biosecurity Self-Assessment Training Workshop. The programme’s goal is to provide two series of 4-day training programme for biorisk professionals, with participants from government agencies and universities. The programme will include discussions and lectures to present key principles for conducting biosecurity self-assessment and weighing the value of various components of biosecurity for their institutions.
