Dear Prospective Member:

On behalf of the Board of Governors and all our members, we thank you for your
interest in Valley Hill Country Club. We take pride in our club and know that you
will enjoy it as much as we do. The club is a private, member-owned, non-profit club
governed by a Board of Governors elected by its members.

Created with the backdrop of Green Mountain in South Huntsville, VHCC is the only
North Alabama Private Country Club offering twenty-seven holes of championship
golf. The course was redesigned by John B. LaFoy in 1984 and is always in the
finest condition. Valley Hill is known as one of the premier golf facilities in
Alabama and is only one of a few courses with AU Victory bentgrass greens newly
installed in 2019. Our beautifully landscaped grounds and immaculately manicured
golf courses make you feel comfortable and welcomed.

The Clubhouse is warm and inviting and is a great place to gather after a round of
golf or just to relax among friends. It features a Grill, Dining Room, Men’s and
Women’s locker rooms, and a full-service Pro Shop. Our banquet rooms are perfect
venues to host weddings, receptions and company parties. If you are looking for
outside dining, our patio offers spectacular food and beverages in a relaxed and
informal setting highlighted by two spacious fire pits.

Outside is a whole new world of excitement. Our swimming pool and children’s pool
offer a family-friendly atmosphere with plenty of room for sunbathing. Enjoy
poolside food & beverage service while spending time with the family or celebrating
that little one’s birthday with a fun-filled pool party.

Service is the most important aspect at Valley Hill CC. Our highly trained staff will
ensure that your time at the Club is completely enjoyable.

Now is the time to contact our Membership Director who will be happy to discuss
the membership that is right for you. While you are on the phone or in the office,
make a special appointment to play the golf course and tour the facility. In the

Dining

The Dining Room and Grill Room are open six days a week. The hours of operation are as follows:

Mondays: Closed

Tuesdays: 11:00 am – 7:00 pm Lunch menu only

Wednesdays: 11:00 am – 9:00 pm

Thursdays: 11:00 am – 9:00 pm

Fridays: 11:00 am – 9:00 pm

Saturdays: 7:00 am – 11:00 am Breakfast dining

11:00 am – 8:00 pm Regular dining

Sundays: 7:00 am – 10:30 am Breakfast dining

11:00 am – 2:00 pm Spectacular Sunday Buffet

11:00 am – 6:00 pm Additional light dining available

Special note: The clubhouse / bar / grill areas are open considerably later for your enjoyment on most evenings.
Food service is the only thing that closes at the above listed times.

VHCC excels at hosting your special party or banquette. Members may use the facility at no charge as long as
food and/or beverage service is provided. All catering and beverage offerings must be planned through the club.

Golf
Jay McLelland (Head Golf Professional) and his staff provide the finest amenities any golfer could desire. His Pro
Shop is stocked with the “latest & greatest” equipment and apparel that is available. Some of the amenities
available to you as a member are:

• Award winning Junior Golf Program
• Tournaments throughout the season geared toward all skill levels
• Thursday morning Ladies Association
• Friday evening Sunset Couples golf
• Large practice facility and separate putting and chipping greens
• Lessons provided By Jay McLelland and his staff
• State of the art Club Fitting with the top manufacturers
• Trackman for digital swing analysis
• An award-winning Simulator for lessons / club fitting / or playing the best golf courses in the world

The Golf Shop and golf course are open from 7:00 am – dusk each day during the golf season

Some of the optional fees available to you are:

• Golf Cart Rental: $19 / 18 Holes $10 / 9 Holes
• Golf Bag Storage: $120 annually $285 / family
• Pull Cart Storage: $120 annually
• Unlimited Range Usage Program: $195 / single
• Practice Range (Day Only Pass): $10
• Lessons with Jay McLelland: $45 / Hour
• Golf Cart Trail Fee: $80 / Month
• Golf Cart Storage Fee: $60 / Month

Golf Guest Fees

Members are encouraged to bring guests to their club. There are three (3) guest fee options:

1. Standard Guest Fee: $50 plus cart (optional)

2. Immediate Family Member Fee: $25 plus cart (optional)

3. Twilight Guest Fee (Tue – Thu after 1:00 pm): $45 including cart

Swimming Pool
Season of Operation: Memorial Day --- Labor Day

Daily Fees: Members Included in membership

Guests $5 per person per day

Grandchildren $5 per person per day

Swim Team
The Valley Hill Barracudas swim annually in the Rocket City Swim League. Children of all skill levels are
encouraged to participate in this wonderful summer swim program. The team swims from mid – May through
mid-July. The Swim Team fee is $65 per child (child or grandchild of member) and $130 per child (non-
member).

Administration
VHCC creates a monthly newsletter of all the great events and news happening in and around Valley Hill. The
Office Staff sends those out via email each month and they are also available on the club website.

Member charges for food, beverage, golf carts, guest fees etc. are put on your unique “Member Number”.
Those charges are sent to you at the beginning of the following month. Dues statements are drafted and sent
by the 5th of each month.

Each membership has a Food Minimum of $40 to be spent each month at VHCC.

Class “A” Membership

• $1000 Initiation Fee & $100 Deposit

Junior Membership (Ages 21 – 29)

• Full use of facilities including Pool and unlimited Golf

• $200 Initiation Fee & $100 Deposit

• $180 per month in dues $40 per month food minimum

Young Professional Membership (Ages 30 – 39)

• Full use of facilities including Pool and unlimited Golf

• $300 Initiation Fee & $100 Deposit

• $208 per month in dues $40 per month food minimum

Social Membership

• Full use of facilities including Pool (excluding Golf)

• May play once per month on weekdays by paying the current Guest Fee

• $100 Initiation Fee & $100 Deposit

Corporate Golf Membership

• Minimum of three (3) designees required

• One-year membership commitment

• Full use of club amenities for each designee and their immediate family

• $1000 Initiation Fee (for the Corporation) & $100 Deposit for each designee

Corporate Social Membership

• Minimum of three (3) designees required

Program Details
• Discount will apply to the first 12 months of dues for each new member
• If a current VHCC member has recruited you, he or she will receive the same discounted dues

for 12 months
• Both the recruiting member and new member must remain a member to receive the

promotional discount
• Once a new member is approved for membership, he or she can recruit

new members and earn additional recruiting discounts
• There are no limits on the number of discounts a member may earn!
• New members must maintain membership for a minimum of 1 year
