Secret Beaches

Butterfly beach and Honeymoon beach are some hidden beaches, away from the sight of
most of the visitors. These beaches are breathtakingly beautiful.
Butterfly beach is named because of the shape of the valley, similar to that of a butterfly.

Palolem beach.

Dudhsagar Falls

You might remember this sensational waterfall from the film ‘Chennai Express’. Dudhsagar
Fall is a four-tiered waterfall situated at the border of the state of Goa and Karnataka
(approx. 90 kms from Baga beach). There are two ways of reaching the main waterfalls-

• Jeep safari- you can start your journey at Bhagwan Mahavir wildlife sanctuary, following
the mud trails of the forest to reach the waterfall. It will take approx. 1.5 hrs to reach the
main location. One jeep will accommodate 6- 8 people.

• By trekking- the last and most rewarding way to reach the falls. There are two treks
available-
o Kulem- Dudhsagar trek
o Castle rock trek

Both will take approx. 3 to 4.5 hrs to reach the main location.

Either way is adventurous and will definitely add a memorable page to the book of your Goa
visit.

(Advisory! -It is suggested not to visit the Dudhsagar Falls during the monsoon due to
sudden rains and chances of floods.)
