1. คากรยิ าที่เป็นสระเสียงสน้ั ตัวเดยี ว ตัวสะกดตัวเดยี ว ให้เพ่มิ ตัวสะกดอกี 1 ตัว

แลว้ เติม ing เชน่ mop เปน็ mopping
2. คากริยาท่ลี งท้ายด้วย e ให้ตดั e ออก แลว้ เติม ing เช่น make เป็น

making

3. คากรยิ าที่ลงท้ายด้วย ie ใหเ้ ปล่ยี น ie เปน็ y แล้วเติม ing เชน่ tie เปน็

tying

4. คากรยิ าทีล่ งทา้ ยดว้ ยสระ 2 ตัว (a e i o u) สามารถเติม ing ไดเ้ ลย เช่น
