Dear Whitefield families and friends,

2015-2016 was a fantastic year for Whitefield Academy! Enrollment grew, test scores increased,
and the work God is doing through Whitefield Academy’s teachers and coaches in the lives of our
students continued to live up to the high calling of our mission statement.

This year, we invested a lot of time listening to the needs of our faculty, visiting schools, and then
meeting with architects, designers, and engineers to create a new campus master plan that would
allow us to be the best stewards of the land entrusted to us. We spent much of the year meeting
with area homeowners and businesses, as well as city and county officials, working toward getting
our master plan approved. In December of 2015, a week before Christmas, we received approval.
What a tremendous Christmas gift! In February, we dedicated over 20 acres of land donated to us by
a Whitefield family, bringing our campus to 100 acres! God’s blessings continued into March, when
thanks to a generous donation, we were able to break ground on our new tennis court complex.

Planning for what is to come and celebrating growth reminds us of the foundation our school
is built upon- a strong, Christ-centered community that believes deeply in our mission. The
Whitefield community consists of many generous families, foundations, and friends of the school
who sacrificially give of their time and resources. Most of you supported the Annual Fund, some
pledged to a capital campaign project, and many of you served the school in leadership positions
or volunteered at school events. A great number of you did a combination of all of the above. Thank
you! You are the reason Whitefield had an incredible year. You are the reason we can continue to
fulfill our mission and continue to dream and plan for the future growth of this school.

The enclosed report includes some of the successful results of our 2015-2016 school year. It also
lists the families who gave generously of their time and finances to make those successful results
possible.

The qualified education expense tax credit allows Georgia residents to designate a portion of their state income tax to schools like
Whitefield Academy to assist with our financial aid programs for low-income families. The popularity of this program has grown
so much that Georgia residents hit the state-allowed limit in just the first few hours of 2016. For more information, contact Allison

ANNUAL FUND

Once again, we are delighted to convey that 2015-2016 was another banner and exciting year for Whitefield Academy. Not only
were we strong in admissions and enrollment, but we also exceeded Annual Fund goals and achieved record financial support.
This Annual Report recognizes those who have given time, treasures, and talent to our school. Your investment in our school
directly supports the incredible faculty and enriches the experience of all of our students, from our youngest preschool learners
to our senior leaders.
The Annual Fund provides the “foundation” of predictable and renewed support and is the entry level for larger gifts possible
for future endowment, capital campaigns, and planned giving programs. Did you know every gift made to the Whitefield Annual
Fund, regardless of its amount, enables Whitefield Academy to make a difference? Your gift provides funding to projects that
have a real and lasting effect on the school, our students, and the wider Whitefield community.
The Whitefield Academy Annual Fund donor roll for 2015-2016 demonstrates the wide impact of this giving. Following are details

support enables the Annual Fund to have a positive impact on our entire Whitefield community. Every dollar matters.
In recognition of the impact of our leadership giving, Whitefield Academy hosts several events throughout the year for those who
have given at leadership levels - the George Whitefield Society honors $1M in giving; the Headmaster Circle honors $10,000; the
Trustee Circle honors $5,000; and the Leadership Circle honors $2,000. We love to celebrate the giving of our families!
Year after year, generous contributions at all levels help our school enhance its offerings to students, expand its outreach to
alumni, and support exciting new faculty development. You are the most important part of the success in each of these areas

Anthony says, “Harambee responds to God’s heart to care for the widows, orphans,
immigrants, fatherless youth, and refugees in the Humboldt Park area, which is
on the west side of Chicago. It is half Puerto Rican and half African American.
On the east side of our neighborhood, gentrification is taking place, and whites
are moving in. The west side of Humboldt Park still deals with high crime, gang
activity, unemployment, low-achieving schools, and drug activity. Yet, I love my
neighborhood. ”

The ministry works with 12-18-year-olds in the neighborhood to help them find
a purpose and impacts them by building relationships with them. The vehicle for
building these relationships is teaching a skill called tuck pointing, which is the
removal of old mortar in between bricks and replacing it with new mortar. The
ministry tuck points homes for low income homeowners for free. By serving these
homeowners and teaching youth to do the actual work themselves, the youth gain
work experience, build self-worth, and develop a love for their own community.

Johnson is determined to provide hope in the midst of hopelessness.

Alumni Board

The Whitefield Academy Alumni Board exists to serve and promote the mutual interests of Whitefield Academy alumni
and to encourage alumni involvement in the school through events such as the annual Homecoming festivities, Christmas
parties, and class reunions. These all help to recapture the excitement alumni felt as students and the memories made
during high school. The board fosters alumni connections through its LinkedIn and Facebook pages along with Instagram
and Twitter feeds. The connections enhance professional networking opportunities for college graduates entering the work
force. The Alumni Board also sponsors the annual senior luncheon for Whitefield seniors embarking on graduation and
use it as a time to encourage and celebrate this upcoming big step away from home and Whitefield. Alumni ambassadors
attending universities (including Georgia Institute of Technology, University of Georgia, and Auburn University) are available
to assist Whitefield Academy incoming freshmen to transition and navigate through their first years of college life.
