The Christmas Murder
By: Anna Gerstle
This Christmas was not the best for Mrs.
Claus...or Santa. Mrs. and Mr. Claus are both old but
jolly. Everyone always hears about Santa, but not
about little old Mrs. Claus. They both have white hair
and plump bodies. Mrs. Claus had always been a
very jealous and impulsive woman and this put her
over the edge. She had been making cookies for
him.

A reward for all of his hard work this year since it
was Christmas night. A special surprise. He told her he
would be heading to the library to pick up a new book.
When he ended up staying out too late, Mrs. Claus’ mind
went to the first thing she could think of. Cheater!

Santa was not lying when he said he was grabbing
a book but he lost track of the time when he joined in the
library Christmas Story Time with the kids and Miss Sylvia.
Miss Sylvia was the best librarian. She used sock puppets
to act out her stories and she served cookies and red
punch after. Santa had a great time and drank two cups of
red punch leaving a scandalous red stain on his merry
lips. He definitely got a surprise when he arrived home.

“That lying old man!” Mrs. Claus told herself. She
threw the cookies out and started pacing around the
house. “He was definitely untrue to me .” She convinced
herself. “The second he walks in that door I’m gonna..I’m
gonna…” She looks to the right of her. A hot pan from the
cookies.

Mrs. Claus started to feel a little bad. “Just because
he was out late doesn’t mean he was with a girl.” When
Santa walked through the door he started to say how sorry
he was. “I apologize for being out so late I-” At this
moment Mrs. Claus spotted the red ring around his lips
and forgot about everything she felt bad about. She
whipped out the pan and slapped him across the head. He
fell to the floor.

S he dragged his limp body out into the snow never
wanting to see him again. She remembers about the
police and about what everyone would think. She decides
to blame the whole thing on Rudolph and Frosty The
Snowman.

M rs. Claus is the best at framing people, so Rudolph
and Frosty got taken to jail while little old evil Mrs. Claus
sat at home sipping milk in front of the fire, laughing to
herself. Santa was n ever seen again.
